nothing better has come since. Thats why nostalgia is popular now.

Lol wut? Do you not remember how big the 60s were in the 80s, the 70s in the 90s, and the 80s in the 00s?

The 90s are seeing a resurgence b/c the people who were teens then are now adults w/their own kids who tend to be somewhat interested in the stuff their parents did.

You can damn near set your clock to a decade's pop culture seeing a resurgence 20 years after it originally ended.

I agree, except when the 90s ended..

Its been 20 years+ and no one gives a shite about the 2000s. We are still going 80s and 90s strong.

The 2000’s ended in 2010. if you look at it that way, by 2030, you may see some 2000’s nostalgia.

Breaking Bad was the best thing about the 2000s

We will see nostalgia mining, but I suspect it may be more difficult from here on out because there aren't as many movies and TV shows that made huge cultural impacts, compared to previous eras. That is because of the aforementioned postmodernism, as well as the general impact of the Internet ironically acting as a Tower of Babel (of sorts) and spreading people out to pursue more niche interests.

That's not true at all. The 2000s nostalgia is just getting started. We're already seeing a resurgence in popularity of early 2000s movies. Mean Girls and Bring It On are now written about in the same light as 80s John Hughes movies. People are hyped for more Lord of the Rings content. The Harry Potter cast just got a reunion special. Elf is now a Christmas classic.

2000s music is on the come up too. A decent chunk of what everyone just went nuts for at the Super Bowl was music that was huge in the early in the 2000s.

Fashion as well. I'm now seeing those stupid arse trucker hats again. Tube tops and pleated skirts are back. Its suddenly ok to wear cargo pants again.

It's actually kind of funny that you say nobody cares about 2000s stuff when just 5-10 years ago that would have been the same claim made about the 90s.

It's kind of funny that some of the episodes got banned and can only be watched via VHS or piracy now considering what is now acceptable to air on TV.

Only a handful were banned, and it was after they huffed gas off a cooking stove and blew up Stewart's house all high on the fumes. Not long after that the "FIRE FIRE!" scene at the comedy club was blamed for some kid in Ohio that burned his trailer down, killing his sister.

Another one banned is them just firing a shotgun laughing hysterically until they shoot down a commercial plane full of people...It was aired once and MTV flipped their shite

i remember lots of new stuff coming out all the time. not so much now, and we've never seen this almost psychotic, machine-like run through everything that's ever been liked by anyone. sequels, reboots, adaptations, spinoffs are almost all we're getting now. yes, it is absolutely at a much higher level than it's ever been.

Lebron flashing back to 2003 to suck himself off is secondarily 2000s nostalgia.

Agreed. The videos could be pretty funny but I kept watching b/c of all the shite they would get into during the story segments.
Exactly. To me the videos were almost filler so the entire episode didn't have to be animated. But I guess that was the part of the music in MTV then
