garden. Infinite supply of empty Superwalmarts?

Blind people can't be hurt by it. They can probably just walk to the store.

So these things can make you kill yourself even if you just see them on camera, yet they cannot enter physical buildings? Are they like spirits?

This was the stupidest part. These super scary entities couldn’t even attempt to enter a building

I liked it. I just want to know why Machine Gun Kelly and that girl Lucy were there. They served no purpose. MGK said a few dopey things, he and the girl banged and then they bounced. No explanation as to what happened to them. Did they go live at the grocery store? I was half expecting to see them at the sanctuary at the end, but nah. Pointless. And from what I understand, those two characters weren't even in the original novel.

So how scary was this? I hate scary movies like the Ring. I can handle monster movies like Alien and Freddy but the weird shite like the Ring terrifies me.

It's more suspenseful than scary. There are a few "whoa" moments, but nothing crazy. Not sure if you watch The Walking Dead, but TWD is WAY more gruesome than anything in this movie.

I didn't finish it. I was in a mood and the PC shite stuck out like a sore thumb.

In the first few minutes we see a woman who doesn't want her child, she's barely showing but all these people in the mass chaos somehow single her out and run through the masses to help her, somehow knowing shes pregnant...

We have the two black guys who are the most helpful out of anyone. OK awesome I can dig it. But who are the 2 white guys? Oh just a scummy drug dealing pill popper and a mean ole bigot that hates the gay guy.

Oh and the cop winds up being crooked and stealing the car with the druggie, because frick the police. Fast forward and the only girl who said she didn't want children is now in charge of the two children and all she knows how to do is scream at them.

I stopped at about half way.

well nothing is ever really gonna top that. Everything else is just a competition to suck just a little less than the ending of The OA.

This movie was generic hollywood trash. PC to the core. Lacks any intellect whatsoever, and in a movie where they dont show you the monster, you’d better be a smart movie. I want to know how the black uber- dad male lead was able to maintain the body of an NFL linebacker with an apparent food shortage. Also, where are these woods where you can just frolick about blindfolded without running face first into a tree or get snagged by thorns.

I've seen looooots of chatter about this over the past week so I just spent two hours watching it and waiting for something incredible. The something incredible never happened.

Don't get me wrong, it was no Last Jedi or Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls, but it definitely left me wondering what all the hype was about. Maybe the buildup was too much so I had unrealistic expectations?

I assume they were in the plot for the sole purpose of taking the car and leaving the group stranded in the house.

And what exactly did the monster look like? Bullock describes: “It was a green man with a horrific baby face.”

Imagine watching this movie and walking away hating it because it vilified white men and made heroes out of minorities.

There are so many reasons to dislike it, and that’s the reason you chose?

Quite a few on this board seem to invent a "PC" boogie man, because they want to go back to when TV and movies starred white men only. The "shitty" guy wasn't really a bad guy. He didn't like his neighbor building an extension.

Old men tend to be the most bigoted.

(any race)

Jeez.
Also they had access to food

Just got done watching it. It's ok, the cast kept it interesting they all did a great job. Wasn't scary at all but it was a very tense movie. A quiet place was wayyyyyyyy better.

Watched it the other day with no expectations and enjoyed it. If I had watched it with expectations I would have been disappointed, much like black panther.

It pissed me off how little they explained in the movie but it is what it is. After getting sucked into that dumbass Alaska movie with the fricking wolf masks and incest (name escapes me at the moment) it could have been way worse.
