I thought they did show that in season 1. Or at least that's what I remember from a year ago.

Just finished season two. Love this show. Kevin is the man!
I kid but I did enjoy his final act.

John is Breaking Bad similar to Walter White. He killed his brother yet we like him and pull for him. It was fun to see him fly off the handle and get ruthless in S2.
The way people are reacting to Kevin, and now Meg falling apart, I see the appeal of this story as similar to The Godfather. To me the theme of The Godfather that appeals to the masses is that your #1 value should be loyalty to family. Normal, healthy people instinctively know the wrongness of cults and cult-of-personality dictatorships because they try to get people to value loyalty to the cult leader over loyalty towards their own families. John Rayburn did a really bad thing, but people are livid over Kevin (and possibly Meg) fricking over the family because of that pesky sense of guilt.
Oh, and if this was a British series, the 2nd season would have been 13 episodes and they would have ended the story. Either he would have gotten away with it and the Rayburns would return to be respected members of the community with their dirty secrets, or the house of cards would have crumbled, end of story. OITNB should have ended after two seasons. It's a shame Netflix is following the American TV model of "keep going as long as it makes us money."

So John is just abandoning his family? How does Kevin get that body out of there? With Meg?

just finished, i liked Season 2 better than 1.
Season 1 was too slow with the character development and story line. However i bet if I go back and watch S1 id enjoy it more. Might do that.
I dont get all the hate for Kevin and Meg. Yea Kevin is an idiot, but they essentially got dragged into all this. The John- Walter White comparison is right on. He's a good person at heart but does some POS things.
also I think Kevin is my favorite character. Dude plays that role to the T. Living in south Louisiana I know 10 dudes like Kevin

Meg can place Kevin at the scene of Marco's murder, and knows John killed Danny. Seeing as her and Kevin decided it's essentially every Rayburn for themselves I don't see what's stopping her from ratting on the both of them. The real wild card is the drug lord she got the family hooked up with.

I dont see any of that happening. Season 3 will start out with a phone call to john from Meg. He will turn around and clean it up. They will blame it on Eric or Ozzy.
John becomes Sheriff. Beau Bridges uses him like a little bitch puppet. They eventually off Dannys kid, Sissy Spacek passes away due to the stress. Meg takes over the Inn. Kevin loses his family and goes back on the hooch...
You are welcome

Yeah, the Marco-O'Bannon phone call could be important

How the hell is John going to run for Sheriff with all this crap with the audiotape etc floating out there? The show is good but I couldn't get over Johns balls to run for office.

Season 3 is going to get good.
Mom & Meg vs John & Kevin now

I have 3 episodes left. I can't stand the mom Rayburn, or John's daughter
I was begging for John to tell Nolan's mom to GTFO of town with her wanting more money.
It seems so far the family is kinda taking care of Nolan, so why should she get money?
Kevin is an idiot, but the actor plays him so well it stresses me out

The guy that plays Kevin is an awesome actor. His character makes you feel so many emotions, though mostly anger because of how dumb he is
The family gets all pissed at Danny for selling drugs but Kevin's cool.

I still think he's my favorite character. Someone earlier said in S.LA they know 10 dudes like him, and I feel the same way
I felt so bad for him when he was on the yacht talking to the rich guy and couldn't explain what he wanted in a business model. Just went to the bathroom and screamed "frick!!" Boom, lines of coke will make it all better.

The actor who plays Kevin had a sister who was murdered a few years back.
He is also apparently Multi talented
Weird seeing him not snorting lines of coke.

Yeah, Norbert Leo Butz is a very successful Broadway actor.
He's put on a few pounds since the original "Wicked" run though.
He's won a Tony Award twice for Best Actor in a Broadway Musical for "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and "Catch Me If You Can" and been nominated a third time.
He was also in "Rent", "Speed-The-Plow", "Enron", "Dead Accounts", and a bunch of other Broadway productions.
He's definitely stretching his comfort zone playing Kevin.

Wow. I watched a few vids of him in various roles. Versatile, to say the least.
He must've been in crazy good shape to get through this much singing and dancing:

Just finished.
Enjoyed it but by the end I felt like the season hadnt really gone anywhere.
Glad Marco is dead, annoyed me the way he always cocked his head to the side when talking to people.
And Kevin is a waste of space.
