Boardwalk Empire fell apart. First season was just fantastic but it seemed like they didn't know exactly where to go with it. The unforgivable part of BE was the fact they built the entire time to the St. Valentine's Day massacre and the Atlantic City Conference and they just skipped over it by several years

I still think HBO missed the opportunity for a spin off with the actors playing the IRL gangsters of Lucky, Capone, etc. They were all really perfectly cast.
