I liked Bottle Rocket but didn’t quite have that thing.
Will see Fox and Isle of Dogs soonest.

I adore the first 80 minutes or so of moonrise kingdom - basically everything through the scene with Bruce Willis feeding the kid after he has been caught in his trailing.
The ending sequence with the play loses my attention.

I love beat the ones that have that exotic adventure aspect to them, but still the primary thing is that perfect quirky little world that he creates. Although Rushmore is lacking the exotic adventure aspect it’s just such a perfect representation of the quirky world that it still holds a high place. Tennanbaums isn’t primarily such an adventure movie but feels spread out enough to be that way.

I'm not really sure that I have a favorite Wes Anderson movie. I like pretty much all of them about the same. I guess with a gun to my head, I'd choose Darjeeling.

Rushmore is his only good movie - and it's not underrated, even though I love it.
