Hmm, didn't remember that, but that could be just because his experience selling his GM shares and then it going on to be a billion dollar corporation. Walt saw the Methylamine as his "shares" of the business and didn't want to make that mistake again.
Don't get me wrong, I think it would be interesting if GM was a huge player in this. Has there been any other foreshadowing of GM that I'm not thinking of?

I dunno, the last episode of Sons ran 57 minutes including credits and recap in a 90 minute slot.

What? Are we not allowed to talk about what could happen?

What about Gus' background on Chile? Does anyone think we ever get any more info on that?

Very insightful response. I would love to know the explanation behind the cartel sparing gus because " we know who you are". I think his background and what he did there likely is a very good story. Might not fit where the show currently is, unfortunately.

It would be way too random of a story to throw in with only 2 episodes left.

Exactly.

I guess it was more of just a commentary on my part than a question, on the fact that I'm disappointed that we won't get to hear that story.

So would I, but like you said Gus isn't a factor at this point.
Insightful enough for ya?

Anyone else get a little rush of anxiety right before a new episode airs?

I bet he will be flashbacking to the day he gave up his share of a future Billion dollar company, and hare that would make that $80M a drop in the bucket.
And also realize that had he not sold his shares, none of this with the meth/death etc would have happened.

I believe the conversation you are referencing was to show us that Walt's empire building is no longer solely motivated by family, but rather by his envious view of his former colleagues at GM, and also "righting" his mistake of selling out. He feels like he has wasted his potential and that selling Meth is his way of reclaiming his childrens' birthright.

How do you guys watch? I watch it in my room in bed with all the lights turned off. Adds to the suspense.

I'm thinking Walt left GM because Walt was a control freak and thought his way was best. When the company started succeeding without him, he tucked tail and ran.
We have to see that Walt's controlling nature has been part of him for a long time. He didn't suddenly become "Heisenberg" because he got cancer. Cancer was only the catalyst for him figuring out what to do to make money.
