I actually understand why he won't take the money and run. It's all about ego and making something for himself.
This is basically my feeling on why he's continuing. The bullshite about his kids not loving him anymore and being able to salvage the family is, well, bullshite. His son thinks he's cool and his daughter poops in diapers. He could easily take the money and let skayler move and share custody with the kids... They would have plenty of money. The story he told Jesse about missing out on gray matter is why I think he really wants to continue. He knows (and certainly perceives himself) as a genius and is so angry about getting fricked over in gray matter, he wants to prove he's capable of making that kind of business. Like you said, it's his ego... Not the only thing he has left, keeping "this train moving". He has a little girl and son who still love him, no matter what skylar said
Gray matter, and how that went down, has always bothered him. He feels like a failure for only amounting to a chem teacher, and now he makes millions and has an ego

The gray matter story also implies he may not be happy with making millions. He wants billions.

Yes, true
his ego won't settle for 5 million anymore
Any guesses on what his plan is? Steal more methalymine sp?

Join forces with the other drug dealers I presume. Probably develop the same type of relationship he had with Gus only this time he is in charge.

It's actually perfect if this is the plan. Mike can't run the business any more because of the DEA on his tail, so if they let the AZ guys run it, they don't have to worry about this.

Mike also can't run his business anymore because he says he doesn't want to
Unless walt's plan changes that..

Appears to be the deal, although I think Walt is going to run into some blasts from his past and I bet he steps on a lot of toes - again.
Apparently, Jesse and Mike are going to just sell off their part, if I had to guess where we're heading, but I bet they stay in the picture somehow and this doesn't go as planned. It probably doesn't end up that way for them. I can't see these two giant characters riding off into the sunset - yet.
And I bet Todd will be pissed he wasn't involved and he goes bat-crap crazy.
ORRRRR
Walt brings in Todd as his new sidekick and Jesse goes bat-crap crazy.
Lydia and Skyler become lesbian lovers and have a 3 way with Ted
because that isn't dead either!
Jr. catches Marie trying to steal his condom from his wallet he bought to go with his new ride - and she becomes his new ride because he'll rat her out to Hank if she doesn't
and besides she's always thought about that sort of thing.
So, buckle up bitches, it's about to get real
Yo.

Going to chime in here. First, that was one of the best episodes that I can remember. Everybody was laying down their cards in that episode. Mike has to get out with all the LE he has tailing him. Jessie is just going to have to get over that kid but I think he will find peace after he kills Todd.
Walt, what can I say
Dude wants to run an empire. He has nothing left. I don't think even gives a shite about his kids anymore. The ending kind of happened fast but what y'all make of "everybody wins"? I couldn't understand what Walt and Jesse were talking about?

Walt apears to have some plan where Mike and Jesse get their $5 million, he gets to keep cooking meth and build his empire, and the other meth guys are kept happy. Guess we'll find out more when "Heisenberg" meets with the other drug guys next week.

I agree this is where the show should be headed but I'm sure it will go in the opposite direction bc that is just how it is.
I think that a Walt/Jesse confrontation is inevitable, just not sure how we are going to get there.

the electrical arc handcuff cutter Walt made really annoyed me.
They've usually been pretty good with the science in the show, but that would of never worked.
Still a great episode....Im kinda sad im gonna have to wait another year to find out how the series ends

The show is quickly turning into Macgyver with all of these over the top heists and breakouts.

You say that as if it's a bad thing. MacGyver was the shite.

I did think it was kind of silly that Walt found a way to escape being zip tied to the radiator or whatever so quickly. I mean literally 45 seconds of thinking and he had it figured out.
What I found even sillier was that was mikes plan to keep Walt there. Tie one hand up....

Agree.
It's not about the money (what it initially was when he became ill) - he was a different (meek) man then...facing cancer/pending death changed him. He sees this as a renewal/second chance...instead of living a life of regret and settling for that little slice of hum-drum life (the man Sklyar married) - he wants power/respect...and which is why Sklyar hates him now...she can't identify with this because it's not the Walter she married.
It sounds like he spent most of his life eating shite...from Grey Matter, his wife, Hank (who belittled him in the first season as if Walter was a wimp) and Marie.
He wants his Empire and what comes with it...the outbursts and mental explosions he's had is all that pent up frustration of basically living the life of a patsy...no more, he wants to be top dog...money is really ancillary.

They blurred out part of that piece of paper Mike left under the trash bin in the park. Did anyone figure out what it said?

Not sure if serious.
It said "frick you."
