At least Burt was smart enough to skip Bandit III. Harrison should have said no to Indy IV.

Which I refuse to even watch.

But then again, Burt did Universal Soldier III.

Burt was director Milos Forman's choice to play the lead in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

He turned down the role of James Bond on more than one occasion saying that it would just not be right for an American to play bond.

Also rumored to have turned down the role of Trapper John in the original M*A*S*H

Just face it. It was a much closer comparison than you apparently thought it would be.

You are kind of harsh sometimes. My immediate response was of course Ford. Star Wars, Indy and all that. But I can't think of much that Ford has done that would compare to Deliverance or Boogie Nights. And I know Burt wasn't the lead in either of those but they still are on his resume regardless.

They were both nominated for an Oscar, Ford has been in better movies all around, it isn't as easy as it looks initially.

I would still say Ford, but I think Reynolds career choices have left him out of the great actors loop much more than his acting has.

Burt banged Loni Anderson for a great many years. Ford always seems to be with some hag.

Burt>>>>>>>>Harrison cause he was all up in Loni Anderson's goods

I was a little harsh on junior at teh beginning b/c when I saw "vs." i thought who was better. Remember, after 1984, Burt couldn't land a lead in anything except Cop and a Half or straight to video movies and eventually had to settle for his on TV show on a 3rd rate(at the time) network. And he really still hasn't since Boogie Nights. But then I saw he asked who do you like better and that would actually be tough.

Mosquito Coast, Witness, The Fugitive > Deliverance IMO.

It's hard to top Boogie Nights(the movie) but he was only a supporting actor in that.

Speaking of Burt's bad career choices...he fired his agent for recommending him his Academy Award nominated role in Boogie Nights, after just seeing a rough draft of the film.

Honestly, Mosquito Coast and The Fugitive didn't pop into my head at the time. I still think Deliverance is a better movie. Just personal choice though.
