Daniel has to go back to training and being humbled but fears losing again to Barnes, not deathly afraid of Barnes, that was kind of stupid.
When we rewatched the movies before Cobra Kai came out I actually thought the same thing and we watched them out of order, original, then 3, then 2.
It definitely makes more sense that way as Chozen was clearly his most dangerous opponent. It also closes out the Kreese/CK storyline before Daniel goes to Okinawa to truly master Miyagi’s whole system of karate.
The stakes are supposed to get higher as you go. First Johnny, then a more unhinged semi pro in Barnes, then a straight up fight to the death outside of tournament rules with Chozen.
Actually made for a better trilogy imo

A better story line would have been Daniel was super arrogant and at the beginning of that movie gets his butt kicked by Barnes to lose championship. That means the rise of Cobra Kai. Daniel has to go back to training and being humbled but fears losing again to Barnes, not deathly afraid of Barnes,
So Rocky III?

The letter was most likely saying Betsy being pregnant then the captain lied and attempted to get in his head
After seeing the scene with Kreese and Tori regarding the rent, I had the assumption she must be his granddaughter

I agree. The whole Chozen then Barnes in a tourney, Daniel just will not feel that kind of fear. That fear would have been much better in KK2 if that is what he was struggling with it for Chozen.

Terry silver is Miguel's dad and Miguel does what Daniel did in kk3
I don't remember but did Silver have businesses in South America?

the guy in the photograph, that kreese called at the end (who owed him for life)...thats silver right?

That’s the assumption.
That doesn't go along with Silver's personality though.
The surviving guy in the photo wasn't some karate badass. He was scared shitless.

they mention Ecuador in season 1 and how his father is a very bad guy

What in the hell are they gonna do with Robby in season 4? I wish they would off him.

I want them to bring back Stingray.

I'm beginning to worry that cancel culture is going to consume this show.

No one has been close on the fan theories for this show
I do think Netflix ends up killing someone off at some point

I like the Robby character just not the actor. Talk about being miscast.

I'm expecting we'll finally get some real character development and backstory on Tory and Carmen since they've been elevated to regulars.
There is a lot to play on the Johnny, Robby, and Kreese relationship. Would love to see more backstory on Kreese and his relationship with Johnny before the KK movie timeline. I don't think there is any redemption for Kreese at this point. I think he has to die. Johnny is a tragic character; I could see him killing Kreese and throwing away all the good will he's built up in exchange for saving Robby's future.
I don't see a whole lot for Daniel's arc right now. I think they will need to introduce a major event for him like losing his business or home. This would work for Sam too. She's arguably the only main character who has never experienced real hardship and is very flawed. Knocking her down the social ladder may give her some perspective and possibly tie the loose ends with someone like Tory because that feud can't go on much longer without getting stale.
