Doesn't matter why it ended that way. I still disagree with all who dislike season 3. There was no resolution that could have ended differently thanks to history.
I like the speedy way it ended. That seemed more realistic given the power wielded by Hearst.
However the acting troupe sucked the life out of every scene that wasn't Langrishe interacting with the camp.
And not nearly enough Cochran in season 3, you cocksucker.

I loved S3, as I did the previous two. The acting troupe did suck though. I understand why it ended the way it did as Milch knew the cocksuckers weren't gonna pay the actors and so we got the quick end.

I've never seen Generation Kill discussed much on here but its one of HBO's best as well. Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood and the guy who played Ziggy on The Wire S2 were fantastic. The racist Puerto Rican/AA/Mexican/Apache platoon leader was my favorite character but I don't know the actor.

Can't go wrong with Deadwood or BWE. I'm not sure about Oz. Don't really hear much about it….
Deadwood is only 3 seasons and very good, so maybe watch BWE first.
