Not sure barricading yourself in an apartment would be a better plan unless you had a firepower advantage.

I don’t remember the little details (did the gangbangers want to inflict as much pain as possible or just want them dead) but that could be a significantly more painful death.
I don’t remember if backup was like a minute away or like 15 but if the gangbangers knew they had 10 minutes before they had to hit the bricks. I wouldn’t want to be trapped in an apartment with someone who wanted to inflict as much pain as possible culminating in killing me. Give me a bullet in a car.
But 100% agree phenomenal movie for sure time for a rewatch

I have a healthy amount of guns and ammo in my house and I’d usually rather hole up than go guns blazing into the outside. It’s been a while but didn’t they chase somebody and get ambushed in an alley?

Agreed. Peña holds his own but as always, JG elevated the entire movie.

I remember watching this in the theater when it came out and I was horrified for a few days after I watched it. I was actually sad about this movie a few days after. No other movie has ever affected me like this

Fantastic movie
They received a call that brought them to the apartment complex, when they got there they were ambushed. They made their way through the apartment complex out into the alley where they were ambushed again.
