Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

That got dark canonically real fast.

Solid episode. Interesting to see the Brotherhood factions plan to turn on the commonwealth.

I didn't play 4 much. Wasn't interested in hunting for resources to build a settlement, so I got turned off early.
Were the brotherhood and commonwealth aligned?
Because I don't understand that reference at all.

The commonwealth branch of the brotherhood is specifically what they are talking about. Not the commonwealth as a whole.

Lucy kinda pisses me off. I get the whole being nice thing but ghoul has done everything to help and you just say “frick you” to go with the random a-hole you found on a whim?

Yeah it’s one thing to be nice. It’s another thing to be stupid. It’s even more annoying when she tries to lecture in a new world she has no clue about it.

We better get a Mysterious Stranger cameo in this show.

I really need to dust off the ps3 and play the games again.

Just finished episode 2. Far and away the worst episode of the series. Whoever was the director shouldn’t be allowed to direct again. The pacing was horrific and I couldn’t give any less of a frick about the Brotherhood Civil War.
The only enjoyable part of the episode was the beginning.

I was displeased with the scene of shooting the ghouls rope (stolen directly from the G the B and the U.....sigh) bc Lucy did that idiot lecture thing again. One of the major arcs of season 1 is she goes from innocent naive Vaulter to surface-wise chick, and now she reverts to all this kumbaya shite?

I think it's more annoying because she very much does have more of a clue about it at this point. When she was in first season it was understandable. But at this point it is just regressing a character for no reason to make them act out of character as a plot mover.

I suppose it's so her and the ghoul can bicker more like an old married couple every step of the way, but the obviousness is annoying.

Is the commonwealth where the brotherhood started?

I can agree I don’t really care about the brotherhood civil war right now but I’m sure it’ll go somewhere that ties in with the story as a whole.

Yep they made a big deal to have her coldly shooting her mother as a ghoul contrasting with her refusing to refusing to shoot the ghoul midway through the last season and trying to talk reason to it.
Yet now they are having her save someone she doesn’t know over helping the ghoul who she has come to be at least allies with

In FO4, about 1/4 of the way through the story, the Brotherhood of Steel shows up in one of their armored dirigibles and becomes one of the factions you can work with. I never got the feeling that the Commonwealth was very familiar with the BoS until the events of FO4, but I could be wrong.

Nah, started out west in California

Yep definitely feel like she’s reverted. Which is annoying. And feels like just to create narrative differences between her and the gouk.
I could see it beinf a reaction to how far she changed last season but they aren’t portraying it that way so far.
