Yeah sorry...seasons 6 & 7 then. For some reason I always think it was 8 seasons (maybe because 2 terms is 8 years? Idk).

I got one on my most influential business quotes from this show that I use quite often " do you know what they call a leader with no followers? Just a guy taking a walk"

Also, I'm watching season 6 right now and it's funny what we think is bad for The West Wing is still better than most shows currently airing.

This. Couldn't make it through Season 5

Thank You!!!

I lost interest in Season 5 and quite watching too. Part of me wants to restart where I left off but it just isn't the same without Sorkin's quick witted story lines. What's weird is we never hear what happens to Sam (I know Lowe left the show)? He was suppose to be reassigned to the president councels office if he lost the special election in the California 47th. I guess he lost?

I've been stuck in season 5 for a couple of months now. I went through 1-4 in about a month. I'm maybe 2/3 of the way through 5 and I've just kind of lost interest. I'm determined to see the series through, but it will take a while.

They really botched Lowe and Tim Matheson leaving the show. To the point that it really killed it in my estimation.

He lost, although it isn't revealed until the end of the show when he's talking to Josh & Toby, I think.

I always like getting new show recommendations. I'm about to finish a LOST rewatch shortly so might give this a try. Can someone give a brief rundown on what it's about..is it basically just about the day to day goings on of a president?

Is it a serious drama ala the wire?

Yep. They also get into elections.

Yep, but its network, so its not as serious as the wire.
