This book has been on my to-read-list for years, but I never have. Now I will have to read it before December. The film looks like it may be great.

I just finished this book because of this thread. It was one of the best books I've read in a long time.

I would highly recommend reading it before the movie comes out. Thanks to the MTV board for turning me onto this book b/c I hadn't heard of it before.

Has anyone read the book "the book thief"? It came up as a suggestion on amazon when I was looking into life of pi. Looks pretty good but curious if anyone else had read it.

I thought it was an average book till the ending. It makes the book amazing

This.

The book had several long stretches of slow parts, but overall I liked it. REALLY curious to see to close they stick to the book's ending.
