IMO, Wilder is one of the most versatile and talented actors/performers in the last 40 years and he wasn't really in that many big movies (relatively speaking of course). He was, however, iconic in the movies he was in.

True.

I think he was the perfect Waco Kid in Blazing Saddles...

And to think he wasn't the first choice for that part, but the replacement for their original actor makes me cringe.

Watched this over the weekend. It was great seeing Sellers in a non-comedic villainous role.

It is crazy to think he hasn't done a movie since 1991. He is one of my all time favorite actors. Him and Pryor were comedic gold.

Yikes, a quick google image search shows why he isn't on film anymore.

I was just curious what he looked like after all these years, and time has not been friendly to him.

That clip was hilarious. Haven't seen See No Evil Hear No Evil in years. I may have to check it out again.

the death of his wife - Gilda Radner, brought him down a lot, from what i read somewhere.

he is a natural comedian, especially with his facial expressions.

Doesn't look too bad here, I think this is from 2007.

He pretty much disappeared after Gilda Radner died, such a sad story.
He changed his focus after Gilda died. He has put himself 100% into helping with Gilda's Club, the non-profit he co-founded in her memory. They work to provide "emotional and social support" for people living with cancer.

He was here in Atlanta last year for a screening of Young Frankenstein with a Q&A afterward as a fundraiser for the organization.

Just rewatched Silver Streak on amc. Wilder and Pryor have to be the best comedy duo of all times.

Sh*t that's my man, my main man.
