i guess it was fabio, lewd dude and the indian. And they apparently are in charge of the 2000 members of the Second Sons.

I think their motivations are more base and animalistic. They just kill everything that isn't them in their "territory"... which is inching south by the day.
Sound theory - the WW did bypass Sam and go right for the baby I think - they love those babies

Just being cruel as usual. Thing I got from that encounter was that he STILL would prefer to torture Sansa than spend time with Margery.
He's a sadistic bastard - he should be a Bolton

Birds carry messages. I agree with whoever speculated that the birds were warning Samwell. At the end, maybe they were chasing him, maybe they were trying to get him the hell outta there as fast as possible for his (and girl and baby) own good.

No, I am not sure. But I hope the crows aren't on whitey's side. I thought crows were good animals on this show.

Didn't think of him as Indian, but if he is, you know who should have played him?
Branscombe Richmond is the best Indian Companion ever.

I'm probably overthinking it, but I'd say it would only take one crow to lead the whitewalker to the baby, but it would take a shitload of them to get Sam thinking that something's awry.

Unless you're a chick... In which case hat honor would probably go to Billy Wirth.

Maybe Whitey's a Hitchcock fan with a flair for the dramatic?
To date everything leading up to this would make me think the birds would be on Fatty's side, but with this show nothing is ever clear cut and dry.
Maybe Bran & Friends sent the birds subconsciously to help?

First naked Dany since the dragons hatched. My pants rose.

Has the show given us any clues as to why White Walkers like male babies?
I think it's what others have suggested as far as turning them into WW's or maybe they kill the male babies so they can't grow up to kill them later
Also, fat arse left the blade on the ground.
Episode went by too quick even though it wasn't the strongest episode. But there were 2 scenes that I liked best

I think the birds were helping the Walker, they led him right to Sam and made all that commotion. If they were helping Sam they could have swarmed the Walker and pecked him or something.

Not sure if those were crows or ravens. Maybe when the men of the black die they turn into crows and they came to warn Sam. I wonder if the show writers are fans of brandon Lee?
If they were ravens, they were probably the ones that Sam were in charge of. He had been working with them for quite some time. Either way I believe they were there to warn him.
Love the nudity in this episode! :schwing:

Haven't read the thread yet, but I thought this episode was awesome. Just about everything that happened I enjoyed.
Loved Arya and the Hound. I said last week that I wondered if he would tell her that he saved Sansa, and he did. That was cool.
Liked Dany and the three dudes, and we finally got to see her naked again (boing). I still find myself getting more and more bored with her storyline though.
Loved the Stannis and Davos scene. I really like Davos a lot.
Cersei and Maergery scene was great, and Cersei is finally getting to put M in her place a bit. Should be interesting once Maergery is actually the queen.
For once, I enjoyed Sansa's scenes. The wedding and reception was good shite, and it was great to see Tyrion getting back to his old awesome ways a little.
Also great to see Joffrey being a sadistic dick again. That's been missing.
The RedChick and Gendry thing is getting interesting. But why does she want to kill him? I figured she wanted his peen so she could birth another shadow assassin to kill kings. Did I miss something (no reader need answer that)?
I also finally didn't hate a Sam scene...I couldn't tell, but did he kill the WW with just a knife, or was that the dragonstone? Also, refresh my memory as to why WWs love babies so much...

Liked this episode but like others have said it was over really fast.
My thoughts....
Dany's story is getting tired at least to me.
Cersei was awesome telling Maergery I will have you strangled if you call me sister again.
I was off about the Red lady and Robert's bastard. Thought she wanted something else, but she just wants his blood for some spell or something? She said that Davos wanted proof of the power in his blood. Then Stannis tossed the leachs in the flame and said something and named Robb, Joffrey, and Iron Isles person. Wonder what will happen from that.
Tyrion telling Joffrey he would cut his penis off was funny as hell.
Also, why the hell did Gus Gus just leave the dragon stone after it killed the white walker?

This episode to me is starting the ball rolling.
I had only re-watched one episode this season so on Saturday I re-watched 1-7. One thing I love about GoT is how complex it is and the re-watch ability because of everything you miss.
Even though it is not unknown how conniving Baelish is, some jumped out at me after rewatching the previous episode I had not previously picked up. We all know Baelish is in it for the long game so no telling if this was done on purpose but knowing him it is a setup.
Note: these are just my theories.
After handing over the books of the realm to Tyrion after he becomes master of coin, the short scene where he is shocked to find how much the kingdom owes. I didn't pick up on it the first time I watched but the 2nd time I noticed he mentioned owing the Iron Bank of Braavos tens of millions and they if not repaid they will fund the crown's enemies because they always get their gold.
Now couple this with the claims to the throne and red ladies spell. I think the 3 named kings are toast but how are they toast? Does the Iron Bank play a part short term or long term?
If long term, does Baelish make a deal for them to fund him? Could that have possibly been his long term plan from the beginning to put the crown in a precarious position?
If they don't fund Baelish, who then? Daenerys, Stannis, Rob Stark (although I think he dies soon), Bolton, Mance? Or how about longer term and pick someone like Bran or Arya (she does have 2 connections to Braavos). I think the Bank will come into play at some point.
We will probably have at least some bit of clarity in the next 2 weeks but in between seasons 3-4 I will probably rewatch everything from the beginning again.
