GRRM literally said the end will the same. The paths to get there will be different but the end, Jon killing Dany, Jon going North, Bran becoming the king, all of it will be there

Whew, glad this show of intricate character development and political machinations taking place over long periods of time ended with a "well they got the major plot points done with!!!!"
