from what i understand, it's been a goal for a long time to get one F bomb in an MCU movie and Feige has fought it but Gunn said F it because it was going to be his last movie.

I've still never seen this movie. I keep meaning to, but people keep telling me how meh it is.

It took me a good while to watch it myself
It was fine, just different. More serious/sad/adult.
The entire villain plot was basically a Mcguffin for the characters (especially Rocket), but I did find the journey of Rocket satisfying.

Also that his origin story was probably too bleak to be the entire focus, especially for a GotG movie.
