i just got back from it. I loved the first one this one is up there along with it. I expected it to be near the same and it pretty much the same except more allan and toned down chow like le said.

If you expect something deep then of course it will suck but if you like the first one for its random crazy shite then it will make you laugh again.

id prob go see it again

You do realize that anyone can go up there at any time and post how much they liked the film, months before its released. So right now that rating is 100% irrelevant. Try back in a month and it will be more accurate.

As long as you go in expecting it to be like the first then you should enjoy it. Anyone thinking it should be completely original and funnier than the first is setting themselves up for disappointment.

I went in skeptical and was surprised. Was it as funny as the first one? Not really. It had some great moments though. There were times where I laughed really hard. Go see it if you liked the first.

Do you have to see the first one to understand this one? I may go with a couple of guys from work when we are out of town next week.

I'd guess no but just making sure I'm not setting them up for failure.

You may actually enjoy it more than if you had seen the first.

Thats what I was hoping to hear. Just wanted to make sure there weren't too many references or jokes that linked back to the original movie.

That sucks. Now I'm getting mixed opinions, just like this review.

Seems like every single joke in the trailer references something from the previous film in some way.

I liked it, but it wasn't the funniest movie of all time like so many people said.

there is a lot of dialouge early in the movie that references part 1. But it gets better as the movie goes along.

id see part 1 first, but you are likely to laugh regardless

If you liked the first one you'll like this one it's thar simple. If part 2 had come out first it would be viewed as just as good as the first one. Critics put too much stock in originality and don't like comedies like the hangover in general
