I really fricking hate these writers sometimes
It's really annoying at times.
But my favorite moments:
1) The Second Sword Fight
2) Robin and Lily's Sword Fight
3) Marshall dressed in Packers gear
4) "Where's Waldo" Ted
5) The old people asking James, "How do you decide who gets to be the catcher?"

I liked Lily's speech and the flashbacks.

Yeah those were all good
I liked some of the stuff with Barney and Robin trying to get one last bang in too
"His balls dragging in the floor"

But isn't making Ted promise not to tell anyone just as good as telling them all yourself?

Usually, yep.
This episode was okay. Pretty run of the mill. I'm already tired as frick of the Marshall traveling cross-country story and Lily's nonstop drinks. Those are gonna annoy me all season. I liked Lilly's speech at the end as well. Also liked the whole "zombie" approach to it; that was decently funny. I did like when Wayne Brady scraficed himself and it went slow-mo, and then they broke it because none of the old people saw him anyway.
No mother in this one...I wonder where she is since she and Lilly were on the same train and Lilly is there. Also wonder how many episodes they will have her in.
Didn't like how it ended with Barney and Ted though...we know things are gonna be cool with them, so why keep creating false tension?

It's always been implied that she played at the wedding, but I found it odd that the mother didn't say "I'm going to a wedding too. Sumabitch?" Does she not actually go to the wedding and Ted doesn't meet her until the train station? Why is Ted taking the train home when he drove? Is the mother going to meet everyone else in the group and then the last scene is "And that's how I met your mother" like others have said?

Right. Surely in the long arse train ride that she and Lilly shared, it came up where each of them were going. And it wouldn't take too long for them to figure out that they were going to the same wedding.

The Princess Bride quotes and explanation of Fezzik at the end of the movie was classic HIMYM. Best part of last night's show. Laughed my arse off.

I think this makes sense
We'd get to know the mother pretty well, we'd see that she fits in with the group, etc.

It's not his car, Lily/Marshall will drive it back. He told Lily last season he was taking the train back early to catch his flight to Chicago.

Yup. Oddly enough I really like that movie growing up so they references were hilarious.
Lily: My name is Rodrigo Degoya! You killed someone I loved! Prepare to dance!

Isnt the season like 28 episodes?
How these motherfrickers keep complaining about "filler" material and shite is beyond me.
I could tell you how I met my wife in three sentences....or I could tell you bout every girl I dated and every hijinx I got caught up in leading up me meeting her and we'd be here for 8 years.

Meh, I'm beginning to wish that this whole season wasn't based around the wedding. I miss the classic hanging out at McClaren's with the whole crew
