Any word on when it will be released. Finally watched Part 1 on Netflix.

I liked it a lot too. But I like everything Kevin Costner, so maybe I’m biased. Seemed to get pretty mixed reactions, even from western fans.

I thought they announced this would go straight to streaming sometime in summer 2025.

His plan was to release 1 and 2 in theaters to make enough money to finance 3 and 4 or attract investors at least. That failed. 2 was filmed at the same time, so it maybe just needs distribution. It’s probably hard to get good offers with the possibility that 3 and 4 never get made and it’s just left hanging.

Three is already filmed I believe. It’s still in development hell though.
Based on costner’s comments this is a passion project for him and if push comes to shove he’ll finance it himself.
