1988. Diane Keeton, Liam. Did anyone find the movie perverted in that it defended what the boyfriend did with the kid?

Directed by Nimoy
This movie was the downfall of his career as a director.
It's crazy that his first three movies are Star Trek III (The Search for Spock), Star Trek IV (The Voyage Home), and Three Men and a Baby. All really good (some practically great) films.
Then he directed 3 bombs and a Disney motion ride. The last one he directed didn't even make a million dollars against a budget of $16 million (Holy Matrimony) which has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, and the one before that even had Gene Wilder starring in it and it bombed as well (Funny About Love).
Amazing start that just nosedived.

First - it's hollywood. Their generalized goal is to sexualize children younger and get them hooked on being subservient to their passions at as young an age as possible.
Second - this made me look up various descriptions of the film.
Found this great description at the official D23 fan club: LINK
It's her ex husband's fault for turning against her??

Good Mother, The (film) After weathering an unexciting marriage, single parent Anna Dunlap is totally wrapped up in her daughter, Molly, who is her whole life. When an unconventional Irish sculptor, Leo Cutter, enters Anna’s life, she falls passionately in love. However, their openness and permissiveness cause her ex-husband to turn against her, and he files a custody suit for Molly. In trying to retain custody, on her lawyer’s recommendation, she reluctantly sacrifices Leo, all to no avail. Eventually she must pick up her life, and begin anew with only weekend and vacation visits from Molly.

This thread made me curious so I just watched the movie and it is fricked up. The book it's based on was a blockbuster bestseller in 1986 but it seems like the type of story that should have been told a decade earlier to drive a nail into the coffin of the free love era.
Diane Keaton's character never owns up to her mistakes of letting her boyfriend walk around naked in front of her little daughter or fricking him when her daughter's lying in bed with them, they both think the daughter's asleep. Plus she never really holds her boyfriend accountable.
And it makes it seem like she should have a chance to win in court when there's no way in hell that was going to happen.
The ex-husband that files for sole custody after hearing what happened is a very one-dimensional mostly unsympathetic character.
It ends with a very tender tone of the mother beginning to rebuild her life. The theme is really more about a middle aged woman's sexual awakening than parenting. It's kind of like a domestic sequel to Looking For Mr Goodbar.

the key part was when the boyfriend had just took a shower, the little girl asked what IT was, and he allowed her to touch it. Admitted it in court.

When I read this part it made me wonder if Liam’s character got arrested.
