the worst book I've ever read in my life. Not trying to be the cool critical guy or go against the grain...it's just fricking horrible

the way they resolve the love triangle is the laziest fricking writing I've ever experienced.

Nah, any Twilight book is worse than Mockingjay.

But I saw Catching Fire today and I enjoyed it.

I read hunger games trilogy in a day when my wife was sick on our trip to NZ. The third book and the relative popularity of the series despite it made me think we're heading for idiocracy at a solid rate.

Yeah, I flew through the first and second books. Mockingjay took me a while because it was so crappy to read.

Same here. I flew through the first 2 books and loved them. The third one took me three months to finish because it was so boring.

Just got out of the movie and I loved it

I haven't read any of the books and didn't see the first movie. My daughter wanted to go see it yesterday evening so I went with her. She gave me a brief overview of the first movie on the way there and that was all I knew about the series. I enjoyed the movie, I thought it was well done. I really was hoping Katness (sp) would get a chance to kill the President.

Let me go ahead and state that I haven't read any of the books. But I wasn't a fan of the first movie. Catching Fire was significantly better IMO. The first seemed rushed and like they left some stuff out. Plus the second had an appearance by Thad Castle

I cut my teeth at 14 reading CS Lewis, Tolkien and White.
My wife loved the Potter books so I gave it a try. Couldn't believe how thin the writing style was. There is no patience in todays writing it seems.

I'm with you. But HP is in another stratosphere in terms of conflict, character development, and writing than that abortion of a conclusion. End hijack.

Did anyone (book readers) else feel jiped out of a third of a movie because of where they cut off this second movie?

I give it 3/5 just for the greed.

I just saw this movie and I've got to be honest it was one of the better movie experiences I've had in my life.

Outstanding movie.
