Industry gives an insider’s view of the black box of high finance by following a group of young bankers as they forge their identities within the pressure cooker environment and sex and drug-fueled blitz of international bank Pierpoint & Co’s London office.
In Season 3, as Pierpoint looks to the future and takes a big bet on ethical investing, Yasmin, Robert, and Eric find themselves front and center in the splashy IPO of Lumi, a green tech energy company. Since leaving Pierpoint, Harper is eager to get back into the addictive thrill of finance and finds an unlikely partner in FutureDawn portfolio manager Petra Koenig.
Season 3 releases this Sunday in the 8pm time slot. It was previously advertised as a Max show, but it’s been rebranded as an HBO Original. This season will be single, weekly releases after the previous seasons released multiple episodes weekly. Limited amount of reviews so far, but they are all positive and agree it’s the best season so far.
Kit Harrington will join as a newcomer for this third season alongside Sara Goldberg. Harrington will portray Henry Mick, who runs a green tech energy company called Lumi in which Pierpoint wants to invest. Goldberg will play Petra Koenig, a portfolio manager for FutureDawn who aligns forces with Harper.

This show is retarded but I can’t stop watching. I’m in.

I just finished season 1, and I surprisingly like the show.

This is where I’m at. It’s like the kids from Skins grew up to get real jobs, but kept the drug habits. Skins meets Succession is a good description of this show.

I have never seen this show, is high finance PE? If so, this seems hilarious.

Here is a trailer for season 1. The first episode is a good barometer of the rest of the show.

I really like this show. Looking forward to tonight. Yasmin is so sexy.

Solid first episode. I like the addition of Jon Snow and Harper’s new boss, Sally from Barry. It will be interesting to see how they handle the DEI and green initiatives this season. Harper’s coworker scolding her about the coffee cup was too relatable. I swear some of mine would do the same. The ‘zoomers in the workplace’ critique was especially good with Sweatpea.
“It’s like a full time job.”
“You’re at your full time job.”
“My wife is punishing me.”
“With your kids?”
Yasmin’s dad gives no fricks. I was disappointed when Caitlyn Jenner showed up again but that was quickly resolved. Kinda sad to see the wee leprechaun get canned though.

This has been a solid start to the season. The supporting cast is really shining and giving Harper a smaller role was the right decision. The latest episode was the best so far and a damn rollercoaster. Rishi is a fricking degenerate

Its funny how HR cared about his language but didn't notice when he would come in with blood on his face and looking like shite.

I listen to the ringer pod and they say this is the best show of 2024. Never seen it
What do you compare it to?

I might agree with the best of 2024, but it’s certainly in the conversation. It’s like Billions if you cast it with the drug addicted kids from Skins or Euphoria after they grew up a little and got a real job. The main focus is their job as investment bankers and it’s at its best when they are on the trading floor. The dialogue is expertly written and those scenes can get incredibly tense.

Its like Billions without some of the over-the-top bullshite and intrigue. The story revolves around the job not two main characters Ax and Chuck on billions. From what I have been told the trading scenes are relatively accurate.

Thank you, i sighed when I read its like Billions because it was so ridiculous.

The billions is just that it’s in the financial market. The things that occur drugs, sex, and market stuff seem much more “realistic/believable”.

Some, but because it’s HBO you will see the other side of the coin too. Probably a mid-series GoT level of tits.

I wholeheartedly second this statement. Every episode is a banger this season.
