Not saying I don't buy the christian as a candidate theory. We're still so vague on the whole issue of "candidacy," I don't think we can really make an educated guess yet.

a possibility, but I disagree. The repeat episode with bubbles specifically stated that one scene in the mirrors was from the church where jin and sun were married, another scene was from the church where sawyer's parents' funeral was at.
It said nothing about what Jack saw when he turned to 23. Jack told Hurley that it was his parents' house, and that he hadn't been there in years. IMO, Jack is not 23-Shephard. That doesn't mean he isn't important. Heck, it could make him MORE important.
Another theory, the cave was Jacob's, and the lighthouse was MIB's. Jacob had listed "candidates" on his wall in his cave. MIB was using the lighthouse to monitor Jacob's activity off the island and make record of those that Jacob had "touched."

well I guess the only way it will be confirmed is if we see a scene with jacob touching christian outside of his house.

I assume everyone has seen the promo, and how it said the man who has brought death to so many will meet his own demise.
have we discussed the possiblity of Sayid being that man and not Ben.
Maybe Sayid meets the demise tonight.

Seems strange that they would kill sayid during a ben-centric episode. But I wouldn't be surprised either way. I'll be sad to see sayid go, though.

Richard doesn't know about the candidates, so I seriously doubt a low life thug like Pickett would. Plus Ben could have screwed around with the list a bit.

Ben did request lists from them though. Ben may have not gotten "Jacob's List" until Richard arrived back on the Island. And I think its more likely that one of the Others went to meet them instead of the other way around, or else they used Walkie Talkies.

No its not, we fixed it...
Ben doesnt give the list the day of the crash.... In fact its not for at least 3 days after the crash.

Is there a running time line on lostpedia that goes in Chronological order of events from 1954 (whatever the first known event was until the "present". this would help me get a sense of what happened when without trying to piece together all the time jumps. I really think the time travel angle wasn't necessary and was a cop out by the writers who painted themselves into too many loose ends.

Yeah I pointed that out in a post after that, but they did start abducting the Tailies on the first night. The Tail Section crashed very close to the Barracks.
