You could be on to something here. I remember that on one of the Secrets Of Lost skits on Jimmy Kimmel Live Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof revealed the Smoke Monster is a fart. Could it be Tom's fart?

I'm sure this has been discussed, but in "the lighthouse" Jack looks to be puzzled about a scar (where Juliette took out his appendix). Anyone have any ideas as to why the scar is in the alternate timeline?

Yeah...Jack asked his mom and she said he had it done when he was seven but he clearly didn't remember it.

WARNING: NOT A SPOILER
He remembers it like Sun remembers the bump on her forehead. Jack and Sun stared off into the mirror in the alt timeline and saw the remnants of the scar/bump and that triggers their memory of when they got it in the island timeline.
