You’re in for a big surprise. This is much worse than those other movies you mentioned. MUCH worse!

I can nearly guarantee you that it’s not worse than Lady In The Water. I’ve never in my life been so pissed in a theater as I was after watching that piece of shite. If my wife gave me a Ben Gay handjob during a Twilight movie, I still wouldn’t be as mad as I was with LITW.

I agree.

Compared to Lady in the Water, The Happening and others, Trap is a masterpiece.

Question for those of you that have seen Trap.

Josh Hartnett's acting. What's going on here? Was it on purpose, so that his character looked like a bad pretender? Or was it on purpose?

Yes, I think it was on purpose. I think I read an article where he said he studied psychopaths to prepare for the role, but here's an interview where he talks about it:

He was a guest on norm Macdonald has a show on Netflix that I’ve been binging.. in the episode he says that he lost his touch after having kids and was trying to get back to doing more scary moving now that his kids are grown.

I re-watched The Visit last week. I still enjoyed it. I didn't think Trap was that bad. Still better than anything Disney has put out in ten years.

Wife and I watched this over the weekend. Not even close to Shymalan's worst movie.

If you watch it as a dark comedy/satire, it's actually pretty funny and entertaining.

The credit scene makes me think that was the intention all along.

Can't believe the guy still gets work, and for big projects no less. After seeing The Happening, I checked out for good. I actually rented it on a whim for free at the library, and I still spent too much, since I wasted fuel returning it.

Funny (or sad) thing is, if you're tipped off ahead of time that it's one of his "plot twist" movies you're seeing, they're actually pretty easy to figure out if you're looking for it, which pretty much leaves zero payoff...

Other than The Sixth Sense, I’ve not been impressed. So I’m not that surprised to hear it…

So, "The Village" was so bad that it didn't make your list of bad movies????

I think The Village is good. Don’t care if I’m in the minority. The ambiance and tone of it is so good. And the twist isn’t bad regardless of what people say.

I think we’ve gotten to the point where people prejudge a MNS movie and are prepared to shite on “the twist” they know is coming. No foreseen twist will ever seem good enough. And if there is no twist, the same people will go “where was the fricking twist”
