Suicide squad. Almost cried.

Is the correct answer to this thread. And if you disagree it's because you haven't seen the movie
That fricking lux aeterna song played slowly like they do at the end could make any scene depressing. Puts that movie over the top as the most depressing one for me.
If you listen to the Requiem for a Tower version though, you get almost the complete opposite feeling from it though

I notice The Road has been mentioned quite a few times. Never got around to seeing it, but is it not just a typical post-apocalyptic tale of survival? Or is it more to it? Maybe I should read the book first.

Monsters Ball. Miserable people living terrible lives having miserable things happen to them. Roll the credits.

I agree with you about On the Beach. The Road (someone else mentioned) was brutal too. But I have to include a dog movie: Hatchi. Very sad movie about a dog's loyalty.

Yeah. Especially the part where Owen Wilson takes him for that walk and tells Marley to let him know when it's time. From that point on I was just sobbing.

Saw Jurassic Bark a couple of weeks ago. Cried at that too. Dogs put their love and faith in the hands of awful people sometimes and it's like watching a kid die when a dog dies in a movie.

No. That would fall under horror films.

Revolutionary Road. Just an awful experience with an even more depressing ending.
