I have submitted the name of everyone in this thread to the nerd police. May Cthulhu have mercy on your souls.

Alright guys, it’s clear there’s a shite load more in these books than there is in the movie. I’ve also heard that some of the books are legit and some aren’t. How does this work? Do some of them contradict each other? Do they overlap incorrectly? Different authors? What order do I read them?
Basically, I’ve been a big Star Wars fan my whole life, but only from the movies. I never even knew there were books until I found this board. Do all the books pickup the story after the original trilogy or do some come before and do a better job with Annikan and the pre-original trilogy than the awful prequel movies? All help would be appreciated! TIA!

From all that I have heard / read / etc. Everything is considered cannon, somehow they make it work.. and everything has to go through Lucas.

The literature on the Yuuzhan Vong War supports Luke Skywalker
good story line - and I agreed - untill the book line after when Jacen Solo became Cadeaus - he was the most powerful Sith
however Windu is my vote - he single handedly had the emporer on the ropes - untill that whiny twat Hayden Christiansen cut his hands off.

IMO Yoda. But throughout the movies, it's a toss-up between Luke and Darth Sidius imo.

I just read this while thread and I have an idea. Let's start from square one.
Say you have 2 twin boys and each is taken by a leadsr of each side of the Force and trained.
If these twins were to battle after their training is complete, which will win?
I always thought the Sith were stronger, but maybe they wpuld go to greater lengths to win even if it is morally wrong.

The Sith are more "powerful" in the sense that they UNLEASH their power and use any means to devour their enemies. But that approach makes them vulnerable to a controlled attack.
A cold, calculating Sith would beat any Jedi of the same strength/skill, ala Jacen Solo imo. His philosophy was to use all powers on either side at his disposal in an emotionlessly cold and heartless way.
It's a shame they went to such great lengths to make the perfect Sith only to waste the character away.

There is only one answer: Lord Revan

Lea, never underestimate the combined power of the force, and a Vagina.

quote:Luke has much broader understanding of the force. If you know the extended universe, Mace Windu would never even get within melee range of Luke. Luke had various opportunities to destroy Cadeaus, but the Force was telling him it wasn't his obligation. Cadeaus just mis-interpreted Luke's disengagement as weakness.
however Windu is my vote - he single handedly had the emporer on the ropes - untill that whiny twat Hayden Christiansen cut his hands off.

Cadeaus had defeated Luke and was one move from killing him before being stabbed in the back by Ben Skywalker (who sucks as a character btw). The following author tried to "reinterpret" the fight, but it doesn't change the fact that Luke had to be saved by a bush league attack from a 13 year old.

The answer is Gibbles Skywalker, Luke's half brother.
But on a serious note I would have to go with Anakin Skywalker. It was his power that was so off the wall. Luke had to convince Obi-Won he wanted to be a Jedi. So that give Anakin the edge.

I'm laughing at the simpletons who failed to mention Mace Windu Simpletons.
Remember he had defeated Darth Sideous until Anakin stabbed him in the back.
