Mine's not emotional like most on here, but I think you'll appreciate it because you were there...our last day of high school, they let us go at around 11:30 in the morning. We went to the only bar we could find that was open. Well, they weren't really open...the owner was there, and she was friends with our friend's older cousin. She barely knew us, but let us in anyway. She knew we just got done with high school, so she set up a little celebration for us. She had this long shot board with about fifteen different shots on it. She let us do the whole thing for $10. After all the beer, and doing every shot on there, our little eighteen year old stomachs gave out, and we all threw up before we left the bar...well...AD did make it to the parking lot before he hurled. After passing out on your bathroom floor for several hours, we went to see The Crow. I was still queasy as hell during the scene where T-Bird's crew is in the bar, and doing the shots with the bullets in them. It almost made me throw up again in the middle of the theater. To this day, every time that scene comes on, I still get that queasy feeling I had that night in the theater. Good times.

raiders of the lost ark, was the first movie my dad took me to see, was around 8 yrs old. it was just the two of us. one of my all time favs for that reason alone
side note: my dad gets into the action of a movie and becomes quite animated. when we went to see temple of doom a few years later, he was getting antsy during the 1st mola rama sacrifice scene and when the indian dude jumps up into indys face, my pop hollers out "whew" really loud, jumps out of his seat, and throws pop corn all over the place, i was 11 at the time, but i remember it like it was yesterday

My wife and I saw a late night showing (11pm) of Titanic on our wedding day. I told her that was not a good idea, begin that the ship sunk and all those people died...we're still together, though...

The day of my mom's funeral, a bunch of us decided to go catch a movie, a comedy, to kind of unwind a little bit. What did we go see? Up. First flipping part of the movie, guys wife dies and and he's sitting there at the funeral by her casket. Really??
I can laugh about it now, but I really seized up when I saw that.
And yesterday was the two year anniversary of her dying, so I go with my sister and brother to watch another movie. Kung Fu Panda 2. And there are these flashback scenes about his mother............I was almost about to leave. Wasn't too bad, but dang.
We should probably avoid the theater this time of year.
Oh, and I didn't spoil much. Promise

I was on my way to watch Forrest Gump when I witnessed a 2 car accident. I was right behind the wreck and it was pretty bad. A 2 year old kid died and all of the adults had bad injuries. Pretty rough day. Needless to say I didn't go to the movie and it took me about 5 years before I ever watched it. I still think of that accident every time I see Forest Gump on tv.

The TV show LOST reminds me of my Dad. He was an avid viewer of the show (as was I) from the beginning. He passed away midway through the final season. The day after the finale I visited his grave and told him almost verbatim how the show ended.
Happy Dad memory is Caddyshack and Planes Trains and Automobiles. Probably his two favorite comedies and we watched them together several times.
