The Notebook
Armageddon
Wizard of Oz
Willy Wonka
There's a lot of popular movies I don't care for--Looper, Cars, Fight Club, but hate is a strong emotion reserved for a select few movies.

Something very off-putting about that movie. Comparing it as the American Braveheart is not justified.
One is great movie the other is popcorn.
What don't you like about it?
Hilariously overacted and melodramatic. The freed slave bit was so poorly done I thought I was watching a third grade school play.

The movie is surprisingly historically accurate.
Link me to where the British burned churches of people alive

I liked NP, but I'm not sure I would have if I hadn't been forewarned what the movie was like before I went to see it.

The Patriot is one of the biggest piece of shite movies ever. I despise it.

Jason Isaacs character could have been seamlessly replaced by Boris from Rocky and Bullwinkle, that's how cartoonish he was

+1
If you judge the movie by what the different characters experience I find what it says about humanity to be depressing and wrong

The descendants of the guy he's based on were pretty pissed, as the was reportedly nothing at all like the character (no one was...he was ludicrous). And don't get me started on the slave angle...all of Mel Gibson's workers are free or some shite. God so freaking PC and sanitized.
And "The Patriot" was the idiot son that got killed. Mel Gibson was just out for revenge.

The Iron Mans (Men?), The Quick and the Dead, Zodiac (not sure if this one meets the "everyone likes" criterion)
