My kids and I have no desire to see this film.

Eddie Murphy and the pining relationship with Han were the keys that made Mulan a success.

Both are gone in this iteration.

Trying to be closer to the actual myth? K

2-Bit Joan of Arc in China? pass.

May watch it when it is free.

If this starts a trend of studios skipping the big screen, theaters are done.
and so are 400million, 500million, 1 billion box office numbers. which will then stop the studios from making big budget movies.

I’ve never seen a rental anywhere near $30. What you said makes sense, but damn it’s a lot compared to the market going rate

what's the market for big budget new release rentals? Is there one?

I'd think the market rate would be the cost of a family of 4 going to a movie theater. At which point $30 seems reasonable under the circumstances.

I’m not paying $30 for any movie. If I could wait during this pandemic, I can wait for Redbox. I’m sure I’m not alone in that thinking. Movies are going to have to have lower budgets moving forward.
