Since you mentioned that, it would be hard to pull off a Sixth Sense remake!
I would like to see what Keyser Soze did after he walked but Pete Postlewaite is dead so would need a new Kobyashi (sp)
Maybe he could run for president disguised as a former first lady and wear baggy clothes to hide what's going on under there.

Well that and Bob Zemeckis said he'll never let it happen.
He did say that he'd let his kid remake it though. But it won't happen. Doesn't need to.
I also came to post BTTF.
Killer Klowns has been a fav of mine since I was a kid. They probably could remake it, but I hope they don't!

No way they could replicate the performance of Peter Sellers and George C. Scott.
Or the cultural impact when it was released.

Smokey and the Bandit - language use- no one can replace Gleason; not to mention the slut character of Sally Field would have just shacked up with Junior and no wedding; also all the technology with radios, onstar, cell phones, goodie two shoes SJW types who would want the Bandit prosecuted for every conceivable offence, and of course the mere fact that THEY DON'T MAKE PONTIACS anymore.

Dirty Harry movies can't be remade.
Agree 99%. Eastwood owned that shite. Only way I could see it is if they let his son take over the role.

Any movie from the Indiana Jones franchise (No one will be able to take Harrison Ford's place)
If you're going to do it, this is your only choice

I agree with not being able to remake Smokey and the Bandit and Dirty Harry movies.
Not only are the actors too iconic in the roles, the culture has changed too much.
Dirty Harry- grumpy white rogue cop blasting "punks"? This would generate such a firestorm in today's world.
Bandit- like somebody else said, every single technology so important to this movie is irrelevant today. In the 70's, it was over-the-top adventure with disregard for the law, but it could functionally have happened. Today, he doesn't make it out of the first county before getting shut down.

Birth of a Nation.
The first blockbuster. It would not do well today to remake a movie where the Heroes are the KKK.
