I believe Unsolved Mysteries was 100% Stack. It’s a cancelled forgotten failure without him, the creepiest show ever with him. The show was goofy. One segment is America’s Most Wanted a brutal recent killer on the loose, the next is… some guy 50 years ago thinks he saw a ghost one time

I've always liked Mike Rowe from the show "Dirty Jobs". He has narrated many documentaries in his career and has a very distinctive voice.

It was terrifying.

Any time there was a episode that was in a location close to me, or some place I visited often (Smoky Mountains - there were episodes about missing people there) it freaked me out.

Anyone remember Jack Palance hosting Ripley's Believe It or Not? He was creepy as frick to me.

Yeah, he's done a lot of narrating over the years.

Another guy I could have listened to for days on end was Shelby Foote who was a commentator of the history of the Civil War in Ken Burns 5 part documentary on the war. The guy's voice was a rich baritone with a strong southern drawl that went well with his historical expertise about the war.

Bill Kurtis is crazy underrated. His VO for Anchorman is classic. So is that AT&T internet campaign ("I'll have a cherry lime ricky and a hard-boiled egg")

So is Will Lyman who narrated a number of NOVA episodes on PBS.

Not top 5, but I like Keith Morrison.

I believe Robert Stack is top 5.

THE VOICE of the NFL highlight reels. When he spoke, you listened and he made good NFL action even better because of his narrative.

Glad to see "The Voice of God", John Facenda get mentioned. He made NFL Films what it is.

The GOAT of historical narrations has to be David McCullough of Ken Burns' The Civil War.

Loved Shelby Foote in Ken Burns Civil War.

Imo he has the most beautiful southern accent I’ve ever heard. The quintessential Mississippi delta twang.
