I'm pretty sure they said he meets the mother at Barney's wedding. So if I recall correctly, Victoria will not be the mother, but I'm damn glad she's back

Its all good. Its the FX reruns I've been watching if that means anything. And another big plot line was when they got together Marshall and Lilly broke up for reference.

It was left open ended, and people have been wondering when if she was coming back since her fellowship in Europe was 3 years long.

so Ted meets the mother at a wedding. He met Victoria at a wedding. I think we have been waiting for the wedding, what if the wedding already happened?

maybe she does the cake for Barney's wedding and the scene follows with him walking inside and hugging Victoria.

This. These two things alone make it impossible for Victoria to be the one unless the writers were just lying to us the entire time. I am going to explode if the entire season deals with victoria only to have them break up at the end of it. Like they have to come up with something better than that

Did anybody notice Barney when they cut to the scene where Marshall was hammered in the casino, but then cut right back and Bob Saget Ted said he was getting ahead of himself?
Everybody around them was really excited and cheering, but Barney was on the phone and had a look on his face that he just got life changing news.

My DVR didn't record the first episode!!!! UGH.
But second episode was good. Beercules. Edward 40hands. Martin Short. Good stuff.
And thank goodness I just saw the re-runs w/ Victoria last week or I wouldn't have remembered her at all. I just hope they don't do the whole "Zoe isn't your mom anyways" thing that they did in one of the first ones w/ her. That made the whole Zoe arc pointless. Just wanted it to end. But like everyone is saying, it seems pretty impossible that the mother is Victoria. Maybe she's married now anyways??

Did you see Marshall's shirt in this scene? It says "Marshall and Stephanie" or some other name that isn't Lily. I'm sure this plays into the story somehow.
Anyway, I'm not too thrilled that Victoria is back. She's put on some weight.
