Just think. If Coral had just listened and stayed put at the farmhouse, he could be falling asleep after boning Emily every night. Herschel would still be alive. Maggie and Glenn would be having kids by now. Rick and Lori would be working on another litter brother or sister for Coral and Judith. Carol and Darryl would probably be together at this point. Dale would still be around giving words of wisdom, maybe even getting a little sumpin-sumpin from Andrea.

Shane would still be dead.

But NOOOOO! Carl can't stay in the house, Herschel gets his head lopped off, Carl has to off Lori, Andrea has to off herself, Glenn meets Lucille, and Carl has to put a bullet behind his own ear.

YOU SHOULDA JUST STAYED PUT WHEN TOLD, YOU LITTLE PRICK!

I will not miss Coral.

That is great.

I was gonna come in here and bitch about the music at the beginning, or how stupid it was that Morgan and Carol killed every Savior without as much as a scratch, or how a sickly looking kid managed to jab a dull bowstaff through an adult's throat, or how long it took for Coral to fricking die, or how much stupid filler "dialogue" (can barely call some of it that) this episode had, etc. But in the end, even though I was bored out of my mind for most of the episode and wanted it to end, I got what I have been wanting for a good 4-5 seasons now. Coral is gone, for good. No fake death, a la Glenn and the dumpster. No cliffhanger ending. Just him shooting himself and them burying him.

Pretty awful and boring filler episode (which is hilarious for a season/half-season opener), but all in all I enjoyed it because that little shite is gone. Notice Michonne, Rick, and Saddiq were the only ones to tell him goodbye. Darryl threw him a line to make him feel better about himself, and Tara peaced out without even saying a word.

Perhaps Coral died just as he pulled the trigger and the shot missed his brain. He is now buried as a zombie who is unable rise wrapped in that sheet. His reanimated corpse will now suffer for eternity.

Negative and until you mentioned it I completely forgot about it. You would think it would be a talking point among the survivors.

That would be great, except that someone 15 years from now would be digging to lay a foundation for a building and they’d accidentally dig that motherfricker up and he’d restart the whole thing all over again.

What’s funny is that this episode is both one of the worst ever and one of my favorites at the same time.

Wasn't there word that they had changed or were changing the showrunner(s)?

If so, I guess it was after this was filmed or either the new guy is just gonna keep on doing the same old shite.

There's a shift going into next year. I don't remember all of the changes, but I know Gimple is no longer working on the show. He got a promotion or something like that. 2 or 3 other people are shifting around as well.

Only thing keeping me right now is having read the comic books up to date and knowing the awesomeness that follows this Negan war.
If done correctly, it should be a good season 9 or 10.

I remember when people where trying to say TWD was better than Breaking Bad. I stopped watching shortly after Beth was killed, whatever season that was. I missed a few episodes and had no desire to catch up.

Season 1 and even 2, imo, were really well done. The governor stuff was a major turn off.
