It's comical how much you two want to shite on this movie.
Retard math?
It's doing good for a Predator movie by any metric.
I can uunderstand not liking it. I don't understand why you hate on it so bad.

AVP had a huge marketing campaign. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing it advertised. "Whoever wins, we lose" was all over.
And it was pg13 and an aliens movie.

Giant 2nd week drop

Looks like it will lose roughly 30 to 50 million unless it somehow has a huge third/fourth/fifth week

Losing a lot of money is nearly a certainty at this point

The 1st half of the second movie is pretty great. 2nd half has some good in it but some weird plot holes and of course how did they park the ship there?

Again you project and do what you accuse others of. You’ve made several incorrect posts about box office numbers with this movie. Earlier I said you weren’t being dishonest you were just ignorant but I was wrong, you’re stubbornly and intentionally ignorant which is disingenuous at the least. You’re hanging onto this talking point about AVP but it outperformed Badlands opening and of course you only mention one of the movies marketing budget but don’t even give facts, you just provide another slanted, one sided talking point. As usual you don’t provide facts, you don’t refute or critique opinions, you just get angry, throw insults and make stuff up.

I've provided all the facts.
All my box office numbers were facts.

Predator: Badlands is slumping harder than expected during its second weekend, but it has still set a major record. The new movie is the ninth installment in the sci-fi film franchise and the seventh theatrical release. The Predator: Badlands release kicked off with a $40 million domestic debut that marked the best of the entire franchise.

Per Deadline, as of Saturday morning, Predator: Badlands is projected to close out its sophomore weekend with a 3-day total between $13 and $14 million at the domestic box office. This sees its week 2 drop hitting roughly 66% million, which is about par for the course for a sci-fi tentpole, but is considerably rougher than its anticipated 50% drop.

However, by the end of the weekend, it is expected to hit a cumulative domestic total of $67.3 million, which sees it surpassing the all-time domestic gross of the original 1987 Predator, which made $59.7 million in North America by the end of its run.

So other than AVP it's the best performing Predator movie domestically. That's a fact. Yes it dropped more this weekend than expected.
But still doesn't change the numbers.

And I'm not angry. I'm just wondering why you and Sek care so much about a movie you don't like? I know when i don't like a movie i don't have 30 posts in the thread about it.
I'm sure your say some made up bullshite.
Fact is this movie is doing ok.

As I’ve said before I care about the Predator franchise so your little gotcha to try and silence more people is another ill conceived dud kinda like this movie. As far as your box office math again it’s hilarious to watch you fumble through something you don’t understand in the least. This movie needs a lot of help to even turn a profit so to say it’s the most successful when others in this franchise have actually had great success is again incorrect and now misleading.

No. The truth is most Predator movies including the 1987 one didn't make much money.

Again. I posted the numbers. It clearly says this is the highest grossing Predator stand alone movie.
I posted the info numerous times. You don't have the ability to read. You have an idea in your head and your are sticking to it and I'm the idiot for playing with a troll.
The movie was good. Most people liked it. The box office was good for a Predator movie.

Facts....

That’s not true, Predator made 6 and a half times its budget, this movie might not make any money. You post box office gross, you exclude theatre fees and budget to come up with your incredibly stupid and incorrect “if it grosses more than its shooting budget it made money” which everyone, even people like you know is incorrect. You don’t know what you’re talking about which is why your standard position is “if you don’t agree with me you’re a bad person”

Oh and BTW the numbers you linked are wrong. Predator made over $98million on a $15 million dollar budget.

Lmfao so now you’re just going to ignore total box office to push your lies. “60.8%” even your own post is telling you you’re leaving a big chunk out on purpose. You’re just a flagrant and blatant liar.

Keep moving the goalposts and calling it lies. We have been using DOMESTIC box office.

But sure. We can do worldwide
quote:

As of November 16, 2025,

Predator: Badlands has a worldwide box office gross of approximately $136.3 million. The film earned $66.3 million domestically and $70 million internationally.

Again you’re so ignorant I’ll help you out here. Opening weekends are viewed domestically because overseas don’t always open everywhere on the same weekend. At the end of a theatrical run total box office is what’s used because all receipts are in. Understand now?

So. You see my numbers were legit at least?
I posted all factual box office totals.
I understand that the ROI isn't a good as 1987. That isn't the point.
We were talking box office totals.
Again. I have linked and explained. I'm done. Have your last word. But I'm not making up any numbers. I came with links and backed up my point.
I've wasted enough time on you. Go play with SEK.
Movie has been out one week. It's still in its run.

Well you said this was the most successful of the franchise which was incorrect and that was pointed out. Whichever way you presumed the numbers, intentional or not that’s just a fact. Movies typically need to make 2.5x their all in budget. Right now it appears Badlands total budget is $165-170mil so it needs to hit $330-340 mil if that number is right. Reason I say this is because once again tax time revealed Disney lowballing and lying about budgets so time will tell. Predator 87 had an all in budget of $18mil and made over $98mil which would be about $280mil box office on a $51mil budget today so Badlands isn’t going to come close to that success.

Want? Want has nothing to do with it. I WANT a good movie. Just like all the other franchises that have been targeted for their nostalgia and popularity, but then turned into CURRENT DAY messaging, by 2 bit hacks.

But thanks to The Little Platoon , and his scene by scene breakdown I don't have to waste time OR $ in a theatre watching this trash.

THEY REUSED THE ALIENS FRONT LOADER SCENE!!

F this movie!!

Why watch a movie and form your own opinion when you can have a guy bird feed it your opinions to you instead

What part of the review did not serve the movie justice?

Where did it present the story line inaccurately? '

Please, elaborate for me.

What i don't get is on the board there are 20 threads a page. I dint know how many pages.
Most of the movies and tv shows i have no interest in seeing. I'll avoid those topics. I don't understand having multiple posts in a thread for a movie you don't want to see. But beyond that have been rooting for it to fail before release. If your truly a fan of the franchise your support it and then decide if it was good or bad.
To me it makes no sense. But fact is. And this is easy to see. Most actual people here who actually saw the movie liked it. Very few didn't have good things to say that actually saw it.
I pointed out someones third party YouTube viewing of movies/tv before.

They can respond to me I'm done responding to them.

Also not going to watch that review. I've seen the movie and formed my own opinion based on actually consuming the content. You know the entire purpose of this message board.

That video is almost as long as the movie

No not to everyone else. It only makes sense to you and madqueen. But have at it.
