The best prequel is still sitting there on a golden platter. That pistol the elder hands danny glover at the end of the second one...Imagine a predator terrorizing carribean colonies? or even New Orleans in the early 1700s?

i know they did a comic but sheesh. its right there.

Sorry but this looks terrible. Not where I was expecting them to go at all

Seconded. No interest after viewing that trailer.

Why in the world are they trying to make the predators look more human?

Predator - GOAT
Predator 2 - meh, but not as bad as people make it
AvP - fun, but definitely a victim of 2000s action direction and CGI
AvP:Requim - hellabad
Predators - Pretty good
The Predator - hellabad
Prey - Good, better than expecte

I’m close to you on those. But I think Predator 2 is awesome (fun wise, obviously a big dip in quality from 1). And the first AvP is really good.

Prey was good too but a little ridiculous with a tiny girl slinging heavy things around left and right. But it was much better than I expected. I’ll keep watching Predator movies as long as they churn them out.

Probably because they are an exceptionally hideous creation and it would be off putting to have to stare at that for 2 hours and sympathize with it.

They’ve done a good job of keeping them unmasked only in short spurts.

Is there anything left in Hollywood besides squeezing every last dollar out of every franchise—usually with talent nowhere near the level of the original creators?

I saw this tweet today and thought surely SOMETHING that’s an original story has had a bigger opening weekend than “Us.” after looking for a bit, I was actually hard pressed to find anything. Dune, Oppenheimer, Barbie, etc all had monster opening weekends but… not original stories.

I don’t know if I buy that claim outright but it’s more true than I thought it was.

Predators - Pretty good

My 2nd favorite for sure

If I have a night alone and don’t want to brave something new I will watch Predators, Riddick, or Dredd every time.

Feudal Japan would be great too.

Wild West America
Medieval Europe
Feudal Japan

All could work really well for a Predator movie

Series needs to be reset and grounded. The Predator was never invincible or near invincible. Small arms could kill it, it’s part of the Yautja hunting ritual to only hunt prey that can kill you. Some of the movies have gotten way off, one with an iron man suit, super Yautja’s, nearly invincible creatures. You could have interesting stories with a more vulnerable but clever creature. Thats why a lot of people like Prey, the creature was more like the OG monster although still too suped up. That Grizzly fight should have been alot more dangerous to the Predator for example.

Goggins has such an incredibly out of pocket line in this movie that, given the crowd is appropriate, me and my buddies will drop it from time to time

My rankings are

Predator
Predator 2
Predators
Prey
AVP's
The Predator

This looks interesting, but can't decipher too much from a trailer.

I'll probably go see it in theater.
