I think Arnold as The Terminator wins the thread, though. Again, not an Oscar level performance, but I can't imagine anyone else doing that role. It was meant to be.

have to agree, nobody else could have pulled off the terminator character like arnold did. this is the best one yet.

I don't think he'd bring anything cool to Raiden

The problem is the height factor. Neeson is 6'5. You'd need another really tall imposing actor to play him.

The only other names I could think of would be Adam Baldwin, Kevin Durand, or Alexander Skarsgard

Tim Curry is tough because he has a few roles I can't see anybody else playing but I guess the most iconic is the tranny.

Every actor that's played a role that hasn't been played by another actor---- every movie that hasn't been remade with a different actor

A role they were "born to play" is a role that you literally could never seen anyone else playing; the actor is a much a part of the character as the character.

Val Kilmer - Doc Holliday in Tombstone

I literally hate every other Doc Holliday I have ever seen outside of his performance.

Have you read the books? She fits that role perfectly.

While J-Law is one of my favorite actresses, I never imagined her for a second as being Katniss even after watching the movie. She's a bit too bulky and doesn't look half starved like she should.

Liam Neeson in Taken. He will never be viewed as anyone else. That movie is nothing without him.

Tom Cruise in Top Gun.
