Don't know how you can call it a dynasty. Tom is CEO, yes, but he's just an employee. They own nothing. Shiv can drop 2 billion in the sea and still be richer than Tom. She's just a weirdo and will probably regret her decision in a week.

We had to rewind Greg slapping Tom

I don’t think it came out of nowhere. When she saw Kendall sitting and gloating at Logan’s desk it clicked suddenly in her head that Kendall was not up to be CEO and in a way she saved Kendall from becoming his father.

My final thought.
Ken was the best choice to take over. He was all over the place, but he had some good moments leading.
None of them were great for the job, but Tom was not the one.

Wow. It delivered.
A superb and perfect finale capping off one of the best TV shows of all time.
Let's talk a little beyond Shiv, Kendall and Rome. The dynamics and plotting in that final episode with them was powerful with all the twists and turns.
But onward...
1) Con. Understated mastery of the character. The perfect foil to the other greedy, power hungry siblings. You always go "what the hell are you doing here".
2) Greg. My favorite character actually. The master of arse kissing. The bitch slap scene with Tom was gold.
3) Tom. What a snake. Always looking after himself. Was really hoping he'd get F'd.
Outstandingly written, beautifully acted. Perfection.

With Ken as CEO she still wields quite a bit of power
I think this is totally incorrect. Ken, once in power, would not have allowed her to do jackshit. She just recently lied to him and betrayed him about making a phony call to Nate.

They didn’t stick the landing tonight. Such a shame. This finale is going to age like a package of American cheese.
I have almost never seen a show’s fanbase that was happy with a finale. Shows are hard to wrap. Life will go on for these characters and this is just the last snapshot we will see. If this was a season finale and not a series finale, people would love it.
I think as far as finales go … 8/10.

I feel like the scene with Tom and Mattson at the bar should have been near the end of the episode. That was the twist that fit the show. They should have gone straight from that to the board room. You get to the same place as we got in the end but we avoided all the sibling moments that in the end meant nothing. We in turn get Shiv kicked off her pedestal that she thought she was on in the board meeting. You still get Roman and Ken with the same fate but you avoid what seemed to be a rushed last 45 minutes just so you could say you threw multiple plot shifts into the finale. It just wasn't necessary when Tom getting the job was big enough and frankly satisfying enough

Logan has the Vince McMahon mindset. The only way he was going to give up power was by dying. I could definitely have seen him doing the same thing that happened here. Tom as CEO, while Logan still ran things.

I enjoyed all of the “extras” and the sibling moments this episode. Especially the scene with Connor explaining his sticker system to divide Logan’s belongings lol
Also, I loved the scene when the kids watched the video recording of Logan. It showed a softer, more human side of Logan w/ the old guard. And it gave a glimpse into his relationship with Connor that we haven’t seen before.

my wife was losing her mind in the office scene, all kendall could do was talk about himself. she said why doesnt he remind shiv that matsson used her and tossed her aside and he would give her ATN
when kendall lied about the waiter he was done, that was the final straw
This is the one thing I completely agree with. Ken was so cocky and so awful in arguing his position, both in the conference room with the board but also with Shiv and Roman. That was awesome and so fitting for Kendall, but didn’t make sense how we got there
As someone mentioned, I liked the overall end but not how we got there

I disagree. The show wasn’t about Tom getting the job—they had to install someone we knew as CEO and he worked for many reasons—it was about Logan’s legacy and how he fricked his kids up to the point that they hated each other and their constant backstabbing ruined his company and legacy. Those scenes with the siblings were there to show that even when they tried and they had all the reason in the world to work together, in the end they couldn’t do it.

I also thought they did a great job of showing Tom in his true form. Tom may be a fan favorite because of his relationship with cousin Greg but he's just as despicable as the siblings. Imagine having to work for a guy that has such little respect for you he is openly talking about fricking your wife and you just take it.

Somehow turned out to be the most well adjusted of the siblings. He just learned to live without love.

Again, Shiv is notorious for being flaky when it comes to big moments. I mean for fricks sake, she tried to sell an open marriage to her husband on the eve of their wedding because she couldn’t fully commit.
You keep saying this but leaving out the very important detail that all those previous flaky moments were shiv acting in her own interest, choosing to do what’s best for her. Including the open marriage.
That’s not what happened last night. She chose to act in a manner that puts her in a decidedly worse position. In terms of power. In terms of what has always been important to her character. In terms of everything.

He was the best choice between the 3 siblings but throughout the series it became evident over and over that all 3 were terrible choices. Logan’s you are not serious people comment and Romans we are all bullshite perfectly summarizes it.

This was a hugely important but likely overlooked scene. The old guard + Con sharing a happy, very human moment with Logan. Logan is sitting there openly cuddling with his mistress in front of them. It’s something the other 3 kids never experienced because they were too busy bickering and backstabbing each other for Logan’s power (and affection). It’s an inside look at a level of intimacy they never had with their Dad, all the while they were gossiping and making fun of everyone else at that table.
Con was a bit of a nut, but he was still serious about his political position and was taking steps on his own to achieve that end, so Logan respected that.
As many have said, Logan telling the kids they’re not serious people to their face was the real moment of truth. The final bow was all of them completely melting down in the conference room and Rome, realizing what a ridiculous display they just put on, finally accepts it as true.

Because she absolutely couldn’t stand Ken being in that position. That’s the point. Logan fricked them so bad that she’d prefer to give up running ATN than see Ken as CEO.
Even when she and Roman decided to prop up Ken, they couldn’t take it seriously. They joked that it was a better alternative than murdering him. They anointed him as king with a shite smoothie and dumped it on his head. As Logan said, they’re not serious people and he made them that way. I wouldn’t overthink her motives.
