This movie is such a garbled mess.
I actually like the characters. I thought they did an OK job. But the editing and directing and plot and script and pacing are horrible.
It looks like some kid in film school's first attempt at shooting a movie.
The villain is never explained, the plot is never really explained. We the viewer are just kind of thrown into a badly put together attack of some kind in the city. And I'm never really sure what I'm watching or why.
And then there are the forced random jammed in Joker scenes that don't seem to fit into the movie. His Joker is just odd. It's not really good or bad or anything. It's just weird. I cant figure out how I feel about it.
It makes me wonder how different this movie was before the studio edited it and reshot it.
I read an interview with Leto where he said he won't even watch the movie because of all the scenes on the cutting room floor. He said they filmed enough scenes with the Joker to make him a major part of the movie but the editing is so disjointed and sporadic he falls flat.
Most of the scenes with the black chick that put the whole team together are just bad. Cheesey dialogue, and bad acting. I never buy her as an authority figure or a badass. She just seems like a shitty cliche. And everything is so stupidly convenient for her. It's annoying.
So I guess that ends the first act of the movie.

You're just seeing it now?
Yeah. I don't know what I'm watching. I'm an hour and 20 mins into the movie and I still have no idea what's going on. It doesn't have a sensible plot or theme. It just feels like a random collection of scenes with common characters.
None of the characters, good or bad, are developed in any way. None of the plot make sense or links together.
There are parts where I can tell the director wanted you to feel like the scene was needed or connect with a character, but since non of the characters are ever developed non of it matters.
It's OK to keep other characters in the movie in the dark, but to keep your audience wondering what the frick is going on is just bad film making.
They just had Flagg explain in a shitty monologue a bunch of scenes from earlier in the movie that's supposed to make you realize what's been going on.
It would have been better to just show us those scenes in real time. Then have him fill in the suicide squad.
Will Smith says "when does this end" "tell us what the hell is going on" and then" you can kill me if you want but I'm going to leave and have a drink becaue this whole thing is stupid and confusing"
Pretty much sums up my exact feelings about this movie.
And then Flaggs monologue is followed by a shitty Will Smith monologue where he just stares into the camera and explains the plot.
It reminds me of those scenes in Always Sunnys Lethal Weapon franchise when Mac has to keep explaining the movie into the camera.
Will Smiths whole character is just fricking retarded. Especially the plot with his daughter.
He's a hired assassin villain that has killed how many people? He should never have custody of a young girl. Everytime he talks about it it just seems insulting to the audience.

What in the hell is going on in the third act of this movie?
Good lord this thing just took a sharp turn from confusing mess to full on dumpster fire.
Enchantress is a God awful pulled out of left field villain.
No explanation, no tie to the plot, no character development, no motives, no reason, just a random plot device put in seemingly for CGI budget purposes.
And now Harley would like to take her turn to have a random bullshite scene. She lost her puddin.
ETA:
HOLY shite the ending for this movie was terrible.
A cliche slow motion tossing a gun across a room scene?
I mean is it ever explained why Deadshot didn't have a gun? Why would Harley have to throw one to him? Shouldn't he have a loaded sidearm? He's fricking gun assassin that doesn't carry a side arm?
Just 5 minutes of CGI slow motion nonsense.
And then they blow up some random thing behind enchantress to end it? What was that? It's never explained?
Just another convenient plot device.
And finally one more shitty scene. Flagg crushes some cryptonite filled ball of hay, and his girlfriend is dead.... Or is she lol! Yay! Plot device cliche bullshite!
Oh good. Terrible cliche power woman is back to talk in a raspy whisper and shite all over the suicide squad standing in a pile of rubble.
Oh good. At least the psychotic assassin got to see his daughter.
Maybe she'll grow up to murder people too.
One last kick in the nuts to the audience they decide to ruin a timeless queen song.
frick this movie.
I just ended the movie confused and annoyed.
What a dumpster fire shite show.
What does DC need to do to end bullshite studio involvement in their films?
They need a DC producer with control to right this ship. It's infuriating to watch DC IPs get fricked one after the other.

The crazy thing is supposedly a lot of the reshoots were done to fix that 3rd act. Can you imagine how bad it was before

Honestly? No. No way can I imagine it worse.

It still blows my mind how awful this movie turned out. I thought David Ayer would at worst give us an entertaining popcorn flick. But this thing was even worse than BvS.

When my friends that went and saw this told me that I laughed at them. I couldn't believe it.
But it actually was. I didn't think DC could make a worse movie, but they did.

even her dancing can't save how bad that was...there was absolutely no reason for them to "win" that fight...

But this thing was even worse than BvS.

The characters redeem Suicide Squad a bit. Aside from that scene where Batman goes in and kicks the criminals asses, the whole movie is fricked. The plots are just about as nonsensical as one another, but Suicide Squad at least feels like an aimless road trip movie. There is some structure to it.
BvS I wanted to punch a baby over it. The movie is entirely loathsome and condescending to the audience. If Suicide Squad weren't already being filmed, I'd just say start from scratch over it. I still think they made a big mistake by not firing Snyder, and all he'll do is react to our criticisms to BvS, but still frick it up just as gloriously. Fortunately Affleck is directly contributing now to where he may prevent it from being as bad.

IYO, who is worse: Enchantress or Eisenberg's Luthor?
I'll have to go with Luthor because you can't turn your brain off with him and what he's doing. Enchantress I can at least pretend is a girl possessed by Satan and is doing nonsensical things that don't really matter to the plot. I just look at Suicide Squad as a road trip movie to the third circle of hell and I'm able to make peace with it.

I mean, solely them getting Harley spot-on is enough to save it from being as bad as BvS, right?

Eisenberg's Luthor is the worst live action adaptation of a comic book character of all time.
He's worse than Ben Kingsley as Mandarin. Albeit, Mandarin is the second worst of all time.
Those two performances stand alone in a category of absolutely dog shite all their own.
Enchantress was a horrible villain and a random nonsense part of the movie, but Enchantress is no where wear as beloved or iconic as Lex Luthor or the Mandarin. So by that alone, she isn't as bad. But don't get me wrong, she was terrible.

Don't feel bad, the writers and director didn't either.
