That was in part because he pioneered a lot of the technology used for the effects.
Also Parks & Recs had a bad first season, but part of that was they hadn't found their voice. The second season was way better because they course corrected a lot of stuff.
With that said I have little to believe they would have did that here.

the first three are absolutely the worst 3 too.
Yeah I heard it got better, but I started another show and didn't have time to come back to it. Now that it is cancelled, no reason to go back.

idk.
P&R is a good example where they realized people loved Andy and Ron and started giving them more and more screen time.
I dont know if they double down on Osha or if they Start really giving us a Qimir storyline. I think it would have at least been a big chunk of season 2

Parks and Rec made one of the most famous turnarounds in tv history going from mediocre and all around meh first season (idk how close it was to cancelled but I imagine very close) to one of, at least to me, the best network show since the turn of the century at least. They were able to pull this off because they had all the things they needed already. An extremely deep cast of immensely talented actors, good writers, a premise that’s perfect positioned to offer biting satire and provide hilarious commentary about the mundane working lives of many people and more. They just were all simply not utilized properly in season 1.
Absolutely none of this can be said about the acolyte. Not one bit of it. Save for maybe it had 2 talented actors in squid game guy and Manny doing the best with the shite sand which they were given. This show could’ve been given a lifetime run of endless seasons and it never would’ve gotten better than season 1. In fact I’m confident it would’ve only gotten worse as they butchered plagueis and whatever else they could get their grubby hands on to skin suit.

I think Manny was a bright spot in the show, so just featuring him more would have are the show better.

In theory yes. But as season one proved even if the actor is very good, which I do believe him to be, they can only give so much to a show that’s so disgustingly written and a failed premise from the start. He should’ve been the main character and protagonist. The twins should’ve been cut entirely, and the Jedi should’ve been simply framed as antagonists from the perspectives of the sith not space cops reading people their Miranda rights in a a fumbled attempt at kneeling for BLM.
Plus as I stated as the show moved on and attempted to tie his story into plaguis the wise it would’ve been a total disaster in the hands of these people.
I’m confident a show like I described above with him as the main character and the protagonists about the secret machinations as the sith prior to the prequels simply framing the Jedi as antagonists only from their perspectives without feeling the need to make them the bad guys in the total story, in the hands of competent people who wanted to please fans would’ve been a sky shattering success.

Well that’s one interpretation.
I think Season 2 absolutely would have gone into his back story more. How much we’ll never know.
the promise of the show was so off from the product.
it wasn’t any kind of noir mystery show. it wasn’t a murder mystery. there was no mystery.
It wasn’t really sith focused either. If it was marketed as a story about a former jedi and her fall to the dark side I feel like expectations would have been different

But we know his backstory. And it’s an incredibly stupid one. He was the former padawan/apprentice to the most insufferable character on the show, green bean.
As I’ve stated a few times now I think the show should’ve never been a noir or murder mystery. It should’ve been a show focused on the sith with Manny whose very talented and charismatic when given the chance to shine as the protagonist. If they were intent on making it a mystery it likely wasn’t wise to solve 90% of it by the end of episode one and all of it by the end of episode 3. No one was stupid enough to believe the events in the first flashback were depicted accurately so no mystery and the entire twin thing was revealed in episode one so we know osha isn’t the killer. If they were intent on this story the flashbacks should’ve been woven throughout the entire season naturally but in a way that doesn’t even reveal to us mae exists until sometime around episode 5-6.

yeah that’s the general note, but you know. seeing that happen is different

I did not watch any of the show. I decided when I saw that it was set in the High Republic era that I wouldn't watch. There ended up being a whole host of other reasons for me not to watch as more info came out prior to broadcast.
I did read some of the season long thread to see if my prejudice was warranted and from that reading I felt like it was.
I didn't jump into the larger bickering about it though other than to share my reasons why I won't deal with the High Republic Era in any medium.
I do wish they hadn't wasted Manny Jacinto and the guy from Squid Games on such a turd though.

I didn’t watch. After they f’ed up Obi-Wan (how was that even possible?), my interest in new Star Wars stuff kind of dried up.

I saw every second of it.
It was bad.
Worst dialogue I have seen in a show marketed to people older than 7.
Writing in general was just bad. Every episode seemed to have a missed opportunity.
Qimir was a decent actor. Sol was good, except for the last 2 episodes. Aside from them, the acting was just amazingly horrific.
The leads were not compelling or even likable.
Action was ok, but forgettable,
Lightsabers were pretty

Also Parks & Recs had a bad first season,
P&R's first season isn't as good aa subsequent seasons, because they were trying to be The Office. . .but it is still very good

They spent too much money on it. I enjoy Star Wars, so I'm always down for more Star Wars. I just thought they missed the mark on most of this show except for a few really cool parts. It's a shame, but numbers don't lie I guess

Does anyone know where I can get a Qimir helmet or a 3D printer to print one for Halloween?

I downvoted because I didn't watch.
I didn't even watch a full trailer.
