The real world folks back then had layers and personality. All the new folks do is hook up and stir drama
This could be true, but I’ve watched every challenge for the last 15 years (admittedly haven’t watched the first couple, and im sure most in this thread have seen em all) and it has been about fighting, hooking up, and drinking the entire time.
ETA: oh and the best season (IMO) that focused most on the gameplay and the least on drama was the island, which is widely considered by fans to be the worst season.

I'm pretty sure she slept with COUSIN the first night on Rivals III.
So 3 for 3.

The gay drama between Shane and Jozea was funny
Using Jozea's single during the interviews was a great choice too.

Shane has some real issues and insecurities. He actually makes me cringe quite a bit. CT’s smile when he heard Kam’s plan was funny. Game recognizes game...and rookies.

It’s amazing how different the actual Episodes are from just 3-5 years ago. It’s sadly not even really a challenge anymore. It’s turned into Big Brother/Are You The One one-trick pony personality types
Just watched and was coming to post this exactly.
I don’t even recognize this bullshite anymore.
I will say Joss doing his puppet show re-enactment of Jose and Shane’s fight made me legit lol
The rest of this show is terrible.

Me too. What's worse is that you can kinda tell that he knows that we know he's doing it to create drama and be on TV, and you can also kinda tell that he's not 100% okay with it. But then he does it anyway. It's hard to explain what I mean, but it always feels SO overly disingenuous from him.
I hate Shane so much that I actually was pulling for Jozea in that altercation....and I fricking hate Jozea (he's useless).
However, that being said, I do think Shane's strategy was the right one and 100% what he should have done. John tried to get all mad and butthurt about it, but we've seen him intentionally throw challenges several times in the past. One was him throwing Sarah off that high thing to frick with her. One was some challenge where they had to climb/hang on some net over the water and he was throwing that shite based on solid strategy. Those are off the top of my head, so I am sure there are more. So be mad at Shane all you want, but this was his best move to try to avoid being sent into elimination (which definitely would have happened).
I fricking hate Shane, and think he's awful (and not even entertaining like he pretends to think he is), but this wasn't a bad play by him.

He was still a complete bitch about it.
"Oh I didn't understand the rules hehe"

That “queen” fight was just too much. Calling each other boo....geez
Shane and all his fights are cringe worthy. He has that really creepy smile that makes it worse.
Shane pulled a smart move. Loved the strategy of it but the prancing around during and after it was a little too “fabulous” for my liking.

Shane is consistently one of my least favorite competitors... it's obvious that he does all this stupid shite just to keep himself relevant so he gets invited back.
He's the male version of Marie, except that he's better at stirring up the drama.

I have to confess, I’m liking Marie this season. We’ll see if that holds true for next week, but I like that dynamic between her and Cara. It amuses me.
Also, that’s Lavender Ladies shite is ridiculous and annoying, and I hate them all.

That’s unfortunate.
But that whole scene with her telling Cara to get off Kyle’s lap a couple weeks ago was funny.

Bananas in the interview basically saying how much he hates Shane, then it cuts to them arguing and Bananas saying "Shane, I love you to death, but".....

Cara's made herself look so bad this season even Marie is calling her out on it
Posted on 9/5/18 at 10:46 am to Brosef Stalin
So Jozea gets a chance to call out Shane and take him out and he pusses out. And then calls in Kaleigh and Kam but doesn’t have the balls to say that it was because they are girls. And THEN gets to the redemption house and has the nerve to call out everybody else for being pussies?
Get the frick out of here, Jozea.
That elimination challenge seemed brutal.

Those are some tough women. That shite looked intense. I don’t want to hang upside down for 50 minutes, much less have to dive into water, much less it being cold as all frick.

I hope they fired the producer who came up with that challenge.
I learned that one of the main reasons why finals have gotten easier since Rivals III is because they changed executive producers from the guy who used to be in the marines to someone else.

Agreed. I'm bummed they drew the double-cross. There is no way he tries to take down CT, so that may be the end for Chris this season.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they had to cut it short before someone froze to death. And F that double cross, we're going have the two BB teams going into elimination while Tori and CT get sent home.

That was the same guy that made them live in like ridiculous conditions (the house in Thailand didn't have AC for the first few weeks, they had like 10 minutes of phone time per week). It's probably the reason they've gotten people like Derrick and Brad to come back too.
