That's the old Rainbow Raider joke.
I repeated the name so my wife could understand what they were saying.
I was hoping he would be Crazy Quilt.

It's her meta power.
She was doing the Brazilian Butt Workout when the particle accelerator blew up.

not that its important, but did i hear the Police Captain, when he was talking to Eddie about a task force for the Flash, mention something about having a boyfriend?
I thought that was unnecessary. Can I enjoy one show without it getting political on me? Why can't the show just focus on the superhero fighting the villain and not try to force a certain cultural divisive issue on us that doesn't add to the story in any way but only serves as a distraction?

It was a throw away line. Would you have the same or no reaction if he had said "my wife wants me to eat healthy"? You can't enjoy the show because of that one line? I feel bad for you- seriously. It's only divisive to those that choose to divide.
ETA: This episode kicked arse IMO. Wasn't too blown away by last weeks ep but this one really stepped it up. The actor handled Barry's anger pretty well IMO and kind of stepped out of the one dimensional shadow.

My wife just noticed the enormity of Felicity's posterior.
The last shot of the episode of her walking with arrow leaving Star labs was money.
Can't forget her very toned arms and legs too. She's a very healthy girl that's built perfectly.

Without a doubt I would give Felicity the best 5-10 seconds of her life.

How in the hell was that one line political? You need to stop being a pussy.

This episode reminded me of Spartacus, Ashur, and Naevia. Oh frick the memories came rushing back to me. Arrow reminds me of Liam McIntyre's Spartacus. Boomerangs last few lines are easily identical to Ashur's last few lines as well before he was beheaded. So identical it was uncanny.
Honestly, arrow just reminds me too much of Batman with his attitude and dialogue. He was typically more of a funny guy in the cartoons and comics so this is quite a departure from that for me.
Very good episode tonight with arrow. Felicity alone is worth watching arrow.

This is actually something I was curious about myself. I've never read any Green Arrow comics, but was very familiar with him from Justice League Unlimited where he was a wise arse lefty. As much as I enjoy Arrow, it does feel like he's basically Batman in tone.
For those that read the comics, what's the classic take on him?

Keep in mind that this show is basically an origin story. The showrunners have said that he's not the Green Arrow yet. They had said leading up to this season that we'd see some hints of his wise cracking this season, so hopefully we'll get some of that at some point in the second half of the season.

If it turns out that his boyfriend is a famous supervillain, then it will no longer be unnecessary. Even without the Pied Piper, it builds the Captain character up from being purely background.

I'd be fine either way...I just am not familiar enough with the character to know what was a truer take on the character. The one I was familiar with was entirely different than the guy we're getting on the show. As seen in JLU, Green Arrow was Batman if Batman was a lot softer. Made for a good back and forth with other members of the League.
what made me really think about it was Barry's insistence on not wanting to be a part of torture. GA in JLU would have never done that to be chastised by Flash.

What exactly do I have to do to get Felicity to do that?

In the comics Green Arrow has killed folks on a few occasions. There was one storyline where Black Canary was captured and tortured, and Oliver went ballistic and killed all of her captors. His comics could be pretty gritty at times.
