If you’re looking for a close adaptation, then no. Otherwise it’s basically canonical film noir. Burt Lancaster’s premiere. Ava Gardner is drop dead gorgeous and braless in the cafe scene. Also a crazy narrative structure for its time. Worthy of Tarantino.

It did win the Oscar for best movie and was one of the few Hemingway adaptations that he approved of so seems promising
