I guess I'm wrong at this point but I assumed the cancer mom's husband was desperate for them to discharge her with a mountain of pain pills because he was getting into them himself.. Thought I remember an earlier episode where they make a point to say that she is going thru them faster than prescribed -- I could easily be wrong though.

Santos is probably about to shine with charting having to be brief and minimal without the electronic medical record.

This was my initial suspicion as well. It's still nagging in the back of my mind, but I've pretty much decided that they're going in another direction with it.

I am full blown ready for Santos to be fired. The treatment of the deaf girl is just insanely bad. I'm sure they'll do something where Santos saves her life or is the only one to figure it out but her neglecting this girl is driving me nuts.

The lady has been there presumably over 8 hours (It think they said 5 in the waiting room) and Santos doesn't have the decency to try and spend more than a minute to help her in any situation. Finally you get an interpreter and she goes "I'm going to give you two some time to get to know one another" Wanted to punch her in the face. WhyTF would these two need to get to know each other? For once try and listen to what's going on with her.

I honestly can't remember anything in recent memory on TV frustrating me more than this one case.

Later two other doctors walked by and gave a quick surprised wtf glance at it too. Forget which two.

During that scene I was like you know what, Dr. Mohan can get it. Non The Pitt pictures confirm.

Watching Southland now and I really enjoy watching Shawn Hatosy. He was also good in Animal Kingdom.

The deaf lady shite is so dumb. She can clearly read and write from when Santos told her to hang on for a bit.. They are acting like it's impossible to communicate with her.

Exactly my thoughts. Not to mention just using a tablet or something with text to speech and/of for her to type. Most likely, if she's deaf, she can type well and would be fine if they'd throw a laptop in front of her.

I appreciate them showing the difficulties that someone from the deaf community might experience, but they've made it pretty unrealistic and frustrating to watch (which I guess was the point).

Pretty much every hospital has iPad translators now.

The only situation where translation is even a problem is if it is a rare dialect or language (I have had a weird Peruvian language/dialect a couple times) or if the system is down.

Deafness isn’t a reason for concern nowadays. Everyone has phones and can read or write.

That is drama for the sake of drama.

Our hospital has video translators and can have a sign language translator on there in under a min.

Another fast episode

This thing is gonna meltdown soon if they can’t get a handle on things

Can someone punch Ogilvy? He’s a giant dickhead and I hope he is humbled publicly

Joy is really coming on and saved the ED’s arse with her photographic memory

Really enjoyed the episode and its setting the stage for quite a wild afternoon in the Pitt

It's getting to be over the top actually. How many times was he going to call that guy fat to his face? The zoo CT scanner comment had me cracking up because we used to actually talk about doing that when I was an intern.

Wonder if Al-Hashimi is going to get a bad outcome with that central retinal artery occlusion patient. She definitely provided the necessary info to let the patient make a sound decision, but they've been hinting at something bad happening to her the whole season.

The Dr. King deposition stuff is getting a little over the top too. She's an ER doctor on a shift. Really unlikely she'd be pulled in the middle of it for something like that. It's not an actual trial. Now they're bringing her sister back as a patient next week, so something is likely going to happen with that storyline then.

I wish someone would knock that stupid face off of Javadi.. Every scene she's making the same wide-eyed, shocked at what just happened face. How many times can she be completely and utterly shocked by something in one shift?

I thought that too this episode. It’s not her first day, she should be used to it. But they make it seem like it’s her first day on earth .

I legit hate Santos this season.

Hated her at the beginning of last season and then came around her by the end. But the way she is handling the deaf girl and being a giant bitch to Langdon has got me really disliking her.

It's amazing how they toy with our ability to choose favorite characters. She was on my hate list but now with her role as the new foil to the young Javadi vs Ogolvie rivalry and the reveal of her mutant memory, I'm glad to have her in scenes.

They were definitely sandbagging her character. Seems like she could arguably be the smartest person on the floor.

This bothers me. Yes Langdon fricked up but he has done everything that has been asked of him. What really pissed me off last episode was when Robby purposely torpedoed his confidence. I hope Langdon saves the day at some point this season.

I see you Joy you sneaky little sand bagging Asian She was just dunking on the two brainiacs this episode.

Santos has to go. That is all.
