All the cool kids get bored of the things everyone else enjoys. Because they are hipsters.

Im really not trying to be a douche here.

But seriously, if you are so enamored by Breaking Bad that it has ruined TV for you, then just damn. How much TV do you watch? It seems like every thread on here discussing a show has at least one "its not as good as Breaking Bad" post, regardless of the genre. Hell, the Sleepy Hollow thread has one.

Folks, I'm on season 2 in BB. And yes, its a good show. But really folks, youre missing a whole lot of TV if you think that BB is the end all, be all of TV.

I admit, I do get tired of the plot-induced stupidity of characters. Not to mention that many characters, that would could develop into interesting characters on their own, last only an episode or two before some more plot-induced stupidity kills them off.

I like that the show is doing its own thing separate from the comic, but the comic did it all so much better. Nevertheless, that brings up a common complaint give about the show, the prison.

I know the prison is getting a bit stale for the viewer, but the needs, no it demands set locations that can keep the show within a budget. We'll never get the constantly on-road, struggling-to-survive-day-to-day narrative that comic gave. It's just not possible, so we have to be prepared to accept season long prison/newbury arcs.

I thought the entire last season of TWD was boring. Sucks because I liked the first two seasons.

I've never read the comics. I think once the series is over, I'm going to buy the anthologies and read them.

That being said, budget realities aside, its human nature to seek out a safe place. The prison is a safe place. If you can make a life there, surrounded by walls, why wouldn't you?

I love these threads especially when the Walking Dead is better than 90 percent of the absolute sh t being produced on Tv today.

This.

The way people fawn all over shows like Duck Dynasty baffles me. I'd much rather a good story to follow than watch people from West Monroe go to the batting cages and try to pronounce big words... HILARIOUS!!!

I definitely watch it, but I think BB has set the bar so high that the writing for TWD seems so weak.

Two different shows from two different genres trying to do two different things.

There is only so much you can do with a zombie apocalypse.

The last 2 episodes have been anything but boring.

Now if you're currently Netflixing the series and watching the farm season, I can agree.

And an adapted work when the original author has veto power. When Darabont, Mazzara, or Gimple want to do anything it has to have Kirkman's approval. If Gilligan wanted Walt to pimp Jesse out as a gay prostitute the decision was his he didn't have to consult the author of the source material.

Nope. I just posted the same thing in the main thread.

The show is flat out boring and I have little interest whatsoever in any of the characters or the current storyline. Flu infects the prison! Onoz!

Like I said, I'm invested at this point. Is that your rebuttal to my gripes about the show's list of deficiencies? Stop watching? Fantastic logic.

Your list of "problems" are either subjective opinions or stuff directly related to the behind the scenes drama or the fact it is an adapted work but I didn't bring that up to not bring up the comic in the episode thread.

The acting is good most of the time and it's the only thing that keeps me coming back. Story-wise it isn't very compelling. I took a peek at the comics discussion/wiki to see where things might be headed and... nothing major or interesting happens. There are a few plot lines that just end up being teases and unless the series starts to significantly deviate it's going to be the same situation every season: scrapping for survival from episode to episode. It can make for good drama but without any kind of driving narrative I think I'll eventually lose interest.

The problem is those arcs are shallow and boring.
