I'm not completely sold on his partner being a total douche.
FWIW, in the "inside" snippets you get when you buy the show on iTunes, the guys that make the show speak highly of the partner, saying his devotion to Rick is why he dedicated himself to protecting the wife and Carl.

In the shows defense to help combat this problem, he could have gotten shot and been in the hospital a month or so maybe longer, then the zombie apocalypse started and I'm sure it started kind of gradually, they may have maintained control of the hospital for weeks or months before they lost control, electricity etc. Then once they lost it, it may have been a week or so until he woke up
You nailed an angle I had not considered. Come to think of it, a lot of the blood he saw on the walk through the hospital looked reasonably fresh. The hospital might have been the last stand while everything was going to shite around it. The fact that there was a military set up right up the hill helps that theory.
Nevermind, I'm good.
Nice thinking.

I think you misread that, it said "Shanes devotion to his Dick is why he dedicated himself to protecting the wife." Oh and Carl.

True. Would Shane have been so dedicated had Rick's wife looked like Shirley Hemphill?

There's sexual tension there between one of the blondes and Rick. If the wife bites it, she's gonna 'console' him (with oral).

I have no trouble justifying the times he was in a coma in the hospital or how long Rowdy was on the roof. I also put some deep thought into the zombie's and their intelligence levels. I am now going on the assumption that they have basic instinct, with no rational thoughts. That would give them the ability to pick things up like rocks. It would also explain the fact that they can see, smell put things in their mouths to eat, etc. Also using this logic they very well may be attracted to light and sound. Anyways I don't look at this like picking apart a damn strong show, but a way to get my fix on while waiting on the next episode to air.

I also thought something was interesting when I rewatched the first episode, the little girl zombie at the very beginning picked up her stuffed animal. I guess I missed that when it first came on, I was about 2 minutes late.

Wow. I can't believe I never made the connection between that and the zombie with the rock.

I've been hard on the show thru two episodes, great opening scene on this week's episode.
Great episode tonight. I thought it was easily the best of the first three.

Or the Zombie mom that turned the door knob on her porch.
The story alludes that they have a remembrance of somethings but is very limited.
