Norad! Ha, never thought of it until today. Aren't there adequate provisions at Norad with seeds etc etc to sustain a particular populous for years? Plus the whole cold, mountainous terrain etc would be rough for the Walkers to navigate/survive.
Just askin...

yeah pretty much that's what he did.

Considering 2 lawmen are in the group, you would figure the would know locations for National guard armories. Being sheriff deputies they should have rudimentary emergency response training(location of resources). Fuel food and ammo.
You would think this, but so far they seem to be pretty clueless about a lot of Govt shite that's going on in GA. So I doubt next season will be much different. Also they can't really take gambles and travel to a location based on what they "hope" is there anymore. That's taking a lot out of them.

yeah, but 1.) Getting in that bitch would be damn near impossible. There is like 5 or 6 gates operated by steep security measures(computerish) they'd have to get through. And it's operated by about a thousand plus military personnel, if they are all infected.......damn. I doubt Norad is much of an option given this type of dilemma.
ETA: and this is speculation on how I heard it's ran operated and what I saw on nat geo.

That's true, but at the same time, hope is about all they have left at this point.

very true and it's like a heroin addicts last few doses. They have to be very careful how they use it at this point because they might frick around and inject it all at once and it's all gone. I don't see Rick, Boondock and T-dog giving up that easily, but the rest of the group(Shane included) seems to be hanging on by a thread.

They have to go somewhere. I wouldn't say "hope" as much as a logical deduction. But then again Rick hasn't shown to much logic.

i know it's hard to say this in our comfy lives today, but
if i was in a doomsday/apocolypse situation. I can't see myself giving in or wanting to die. I would figure if I made it surely there are others elsewhere that would have made it too.
And if I can survive long enough I could find a population of others to carry on life with.

this is my way of thinking too. But if I lost my wife and daughter I'm not sure I'd give a shite anymore.

But think of all the Tiger fans you need to supply weapons to.

LSUZombie, FWIW you have done a VERY good job of not posting any spoilers since very early on. You even started a spoiler thread. Don't let these people keep you from sharing.

But you'd think the mother fricker would have been less vague about what they got themselves into. And he possibly might have thought this was one last chance at finding a cure or an advancement in what he already knew, and was so devoured by the disappointment he was just like "frick these people!"
Ya know the bastard was pretty vague wasn't he!

Yea but Rick and Shane are form a little Redneck Town out side of Atlanta. Most of their knowledge would be of small town redneck emergencies. I would agree that anyone who has lived in a state for a period of time would know if their is an Army/Airforce/Navy bases in the region and have a pretty good idea of what part of the state its in.

Norad!
WTF! The Military and federal officials would be in their with their families and the the regular people would be out side and it would be locked up tight....TIGHT! Also where it is compared to them geographically, hell it may as well bin Japan! As for Cold Mountain, I don't know what that is so no comment.
IMO the best thing they can do is go somewhere they can be safe for a few days, hunker down and put together an achievable game plan. In this situation you have to keep everyone's spirits up or they will all go off the deep end. Of course this may not make for a good television show so they will probably do something stupid so everyone can yell at the TV

That would make a more interesting Stargate spinoff than SGU is currently.
