Try reading the book. There is a whole pirate story in there that could be another whole movie ;)

Snyder actually animated the Tales of the Black Freighter. Think it's going on the DVD, or maybe its own release.

The Graphic Novel was overrated as well. V for Vendetta was much better, and also made a much better movie. V had interesting characters, the characterizations in the Watchmen book weren't much better than they were in the movie.

I didn't see the movie, but I can't imagine it was anything awe or angst-inspiring.

we were talking about star trek, and how it looks like it will be good. i commented that it looks to be very actiony for star trek, which doesn't affect me but it should affect the fanboys. however fanboys will lie and say they like it anyway. that's a fanboy

All the sites I've seen have the fanboys super pissed about the new Star Trek movie and how it doesn't adhere to their "canon of Trek"

I don't think they always like it, but I think they like to defend the work. Fanboys are just like any other group that reads a book, and doesn't want to see it bastardized by Hollywood. "The book was sooo much better blah blah." A lot of fans are like that for a lot of genres of books. It's those people that dress up in costumes that give the whole group a bad name. Those frickers are creepy.

I am not a fan boy, a trekkie or even a trekker. But I don't think its too much to ask for them to stick to the history establish in the older shows.

If you're not a fan, why would you care? I'd rather see a cool Star Trek for the first time ever.

The thing about Watchmen is that no one has an arguement that the book isn't good. You can say you didn't enjoy it, and that's your preference, but it is an amazing piece of literature, whether anyone likes it or not. Someone needs to defend why it isn't good, SFP's arguement, like most of his arguements, was super weak.

I'm a fan, not a fan boy. I liked the original series and Star Trek TNG and watched them, mostly when I was in college. After TNG went off the air, I didn't get into the other shows. After the TNG movie when they met the Borg queen, I quit going to the movies.

i'm not bashing the graphic novel or starting huge threads to argue with everyone about why i thought it was overrated. i really don't care what anyone else thinks about the movie or the book. it is however nice to have somebody else agree with me

I actually didn't care for the graphic novel but loved the movie.

imho, the guy who played rorsche did as great a job as ledger in the dark night. only difference is he didn't die before the movie came out.

as far as graphic novels go, walking dead and preacher are my two all time favorites. i wish hbo ro showtime would pick them up and make them into a series. i would be a very happy man
